I doubt that a less-than-perfect interview would have a negative effect. As I understand it, the primary purpose of the interview is to make sure that you're not a sociopath.seamonkey wrote:What do you all think would be the effect of a less-than-perfect alumni interview on otherwise auto-admit numbers? I wouldn't say that my interview was terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but it wasn't fabulous, either...Dignan wrote:There are at least a couple of us with auto-admitish numbers (and with WE) who were complete in November and who have yet to hear anything. I wouldn't assume that you're out just because you haven't heard yet.
My alumni interview went well. In fact, my interviewer and I have a hobby in common and he's contacted me frequently since the interview. He told me that he's sure I will get in.
Look, not to get everyone's hopes up, but if you told me at the beginning of my cycle that only one T14 would accept me, I would've assumed, without hesitation, that the school was Northwestern. I am pretty sure that there are still acceptances coming (maybe not today, but soon) for applicants with November complete dates.
