+1

About 20 minutes after sending it, I got a reply:

'Thank you for the update.'

Don't thank me, just send an acceptance my way...or at the very least a FR...

Drop it from the highest redwood. If your heart is pure, it will float away and your heart's dream will come true.

Oh my goodness that is horrible. Is that an actual saying, or are you just some kind of serial baby dropper? Does it make me a bad person for laughing?

Dean Tom,

I'm trying to be patient, but I've only been UR for 3 weeks and I'm going mad. That said, I will wait until August and sacrifice my sanity if that's what it takes.

Dean Tom,

Tomorrow is our three month anniversary. It's been an emotional ride, but I feel privileged to continue to call you a part of my life. Looking forward to three years more.

dlol. I think the dumbest thing anyone ever told me was to apply in September or October. If I had known that I would have to wait five months at UVA, 6+ at HYSC, and at least two at all the others, I would've slowed the whole process down.

FWIW i think it's better for them to see a LOCI-esque note now rather than later. once you get on the waitlist, you're pretty much SOL.

Don't give up. That'll mean you have to go to school with Helm.

This made me laugh while also warming my heart. I hope Dean Tom is reading.

In other news, I've been suffering some serious joint pain from crossing my fingers for 10 weeks straight.
