10/22 UR, in via phone call. Originally had a missed call, called back and left a voice mail, Dean Tom called right back.
In, with an ASW flyout offer.

What kind of order are they going in, if they're admitting 10/22 and 12/7 UR batches on subsequent days?!

Wow, the 10/22 group's acceptances illustrate that they're going in no special order at all. And it's intriguing that they've returned to the phone-call system. I have a lot of hope for people in the early-November UR pool now.

Everything counts. Everything. And Berkeley has a special place in my affections for personal reasons.thorntll wrote:You still care? You got into Stanford! It did, immediately. Although not here. Now I know what to do when things are idle for a while! But clearly I still haven't found quite the right pose to warm Boalt's heart.managamy wrote:Yes, it is the same girl! But no, she's not my gf. Tall, beautiful, gentle, kind, and intelligent, she's all that a guy could want, no? And she's been my good-luck charm for this entire cycle. It's been a while since I received great news, though, so I thought that a new picture might revitalize my fortunes.

I doubt it helps much, if at all. I just expected that since I have the numbers (and imo, the softs), the alum thing would only reinforce that I know what Berkeley is all about, and would want to go back.

Same as alirod. I google-checked the area code to see where it was from.

People who went complete a week before me are starting to get in. This gives me a reason to status check more neurotically (not that I need an excuse, but this makes me feel less pathetic).

Don't sweat it. If you peruse this serpentine thread a bit, you'll find that completion date has no connection to decision date.knola002 wrote:People who went complete a week before me are starting to get in. The most fun that I've had as a Stanford student has been at Berkeley: exhibits, film, dinners, etc. It's truly a wonderful place for a young person to live.
EDIT: Finally, I can openly make that remark after the SLS email today.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
