I agree that it looks a little fishy

Nah it's not a deferral....look at the dates.

And the profile seems legit...the only schools that she says that she's been accepted at are schools that have already begun accepting applicants, and she hasn't said that she's been accepted at anywhere that hasn't actually begun admitting applicants.

No reason to think its a scam.

Except, you know, Berkeley. Either way, I don't think it's a scam. Just sort of odd.

There was the one acceptance on 11/4 last year, so it could be legit.

If she currently goes to Berkeley, I believe it.

Is it possible some of us (likely not me) will hear from Berkeley, UVA, Michigan AND Harvard this month? Holy cow.

Does it count if you hear from Harvard early because they know that early that they don't want you?

If so then maybe I'll be a part of that list.

Because we are nearly number twins, I urge you to have faith that you're going to sweep the board. :P

Under review at Berkeley since 2 weeks ago. And I'm not expecting to hear back until... late November/early December?

Haha well the feeling is mutual. Yeah I really hope that week of Thanksgiving (11/23-11/25) is full of good news.

Finally submitted on 11/06 -- one week past my "end of October" deadline, which sucks, but I think I am now submitting a much, much, much stronger Berkeley-specific PS.

I'd like to think that the 6 lost days will certainly be made up for by the quality of the essay. Boalt is a super long shot for me, but it's my first choice...so I had to give the PS my best. It's my only hope.

Good luck to everyone!

Haha yea it's chocolate milk. No reason behind it, I just like chocolate milk... and I didn't feel like looking for anything else.

I think the survival of forums like this depends on the fact that patience isn't any of our strengths...

Edit: I'm having major spelling issues today.. I hope those didn't come through on my personal statement.

Imagine what threads would look like.

September 1: "NYU's app is up! Sent in app. No point in posting more, because NYU will get to my app when they get to it."

October 1: "Complete at NYU. Will post again when I hear something. NYU is slow so there's no reason to freak out."

January 15ish: "Recieved word from NYU: accept/ding/whatever. Good luck, everyone else!" Flood of posts ensues until around May, at which point things calm down until next January.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

It is a pain to have to wade through all the "I just sent my app!" and "OMG the status date changed" posts and find nothing about actual decisions.
