Nah it's not a deferral....look at the dates.

And the profile seems legit...the only schools that she says that she's been accepted at are schools that have already begun accepting applicants, and she hasn't said that she's been accepted at anywhere that hasn't actually begun admitting applicants.

No reason to think its a scam.

Finally submitted on 11/06 -- one week past my "end of October" deadline, which sucks, but I think I am now submitting a much, much, much stronger Berkeley-specific PS.

I'd like to think that the 6 lost days will certainly be made up for by the quality of the essay. Boalt is a super long shot for me, but it's my first choice...so I had to give the PS my best. It's my only hope.

I think the survival of forums like this depends on the fact that patience isn't any of our strengths...

Imagine what threads would look like.

September 1: "NYU's app is up! Sent in app. No point in posting more, because NYU will get to my app when they get to it."

October 1: "Complete at NYU. Will post again when I hear something. NYU is slow so there's no reason to freak out."

January 15ish: "Recieved word from NYU: accept/ding/whatever. Good luck, everyone else!" Flood of posts ensues until around May, at which point things calm down until next January.
