It sealed the deal for me. It in fact pulled a total 180 on my whole decision making process and at the end of the weekend I had decided to commit at Alabama.

I would highly recommend going to the ASD if you are even remotely considering Alabama. You can PM me if you have any specific questions/concerns and I can wax nostalgic.

Hi all, I was accepted on 3/1 and I would really like to consider Bama... but I have not received anything about scholarships. If I received a scholarship I would like to put down a deposit... but not without one... should I email/call?

Thanks

Thanks. I sent an email and was informed that I had not been awarde a scholarship but that the committee was still making decisions and they asked if there was anything I would like to share with the scholarship committee.

I wrote back expressing my interest in Alabama and my VERY strong desire to stay in the South. I also shared scholarships that I had received from other schools ($25k from UNC and Tulane, $20k from Vandy and $40k from washington). I really hope it helps.

Yeah I don't think I care enough to call. I have an above-median LSAT so who knows what they were thinking...I think they saw my facebook status during the national championship game hahaha. Alabama can have itself.

Alabama's yield rate is usually really high compared to its peer schools, so if some of you all applied late it could explain a WL or rejection with near or over median numbers.

If you're a 164/3.5 out of state student then it's highly plausible that they just couldn't take anymore OOS folks.

I'm 163 with a 3.5 in-state and am still in the pool (pending). If you were rejected I would imagine that he's probably right and they couldn't take anymore out of state students.

Good luck to everyone else.

Anybody else still "Pending"? Applied late November. This is unreal.

Is this their way of putting applicants on hold? Or are we expecting a batch of WL emails/letters?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
