I received a WL email from BU. The same one I received last week. And the same letter from last week that predicated my withdrawal. The withdrawal that they acknowledged. Hrm.

Yeah I can't say that I was "expecting" better... I think that would be a little overly-ambitious with my stats (though I thought grad degree might help). Ultimately, Chicago will be the one that will really hurt (maybe I shouldn't phrase it that way). Sorry to you too Sibley.

On the bright side, I just got an email from McGeorge entitled "We Interested, Lamp" That really takes all the sting away from the NYU ding.

No I didn't. I heard it was pretty much a no-go, plus I'm leaning towards GW

several-hours-later edit: I just realized the NYU rejection was the end to my cycle. Things are kind of anti-climactic when you don't notice them, huh?

A friend of mine was also waitlisted at Penn yesterday. I had to talk her down from her entitled outrage -- she got into NYU and subsequenty was awarded a Roots scholarship, and couldn't understand how lowly Penn had the gall to waitlist such obvious scholarly potential. She, um, had a 164.
