In at Wisconsin with a 1 week turnaround time-- took them 6 days to process my application and 1 day to admit me via email. Sweet.

No offense but...at this point are you just stroking your own ego? You've gotten into Harvard...why are you still posting about where you got in to?managamy wrote:In at USC, improving to 7-0 for the cycle (all t20)! Very nice Christmas present.

The real question is, why is managamy still waiting for decisions from these schools? And don't give me that "I will give them a thought if they give me a full ride but ultimately reject and go to Harvard" bit! But congrats, it must feel good to be perfect...moonmaster3 wrote:No offense but...at this point are you just stroking your own ego? So just because Managamy got into Harvard, other acceptances don't deserve celebration? I don't know... I say embrace each one.managamy wrote:

Hats off to you, Managamy. I hardly get the impression you are stroking your ego. Congrats on another great acceptance.

I totally understand where he's coming from. I'd be proud of myself too for getting into these schools...but I think on the internet it just rubs off the wrong way. Especially for folks still waiting to hear back from the same schools you're getting into.adonai wrote:The real question is, why is managamy still waiting for decisions from these schools? Thanks for your understanding thoughts (and to moonmaster as well). Many congrats to you on the Boalt acceptance! If you're interested in it at all, you should definitely go visit and experience the unique atmosphere. Hahahaha...you can tell that I'm a great Berkeley fan!Shaggier1 wrote:So just because Managamy got into Harvard, other acceptances don't deserve celebration? I don't know... The bolded statement is exactly right. Every acceptance matters to me on an individual level. They are the most convincing validations available of my undergraduate success. If I were really an extreme egotist, I would be too convinced of my own brilliance to need such validations.

I see nothing wrong with a little bragging; it's the reward for my hard work, and I intend to enjoy the spoils!

Hey JMS, I've always wondered this: is English your first language or not? Clearly your posts make it seem like it's not, but I'm really holding out hope that it is and you're just some sort of genius who crafts incredibly awkward sentences.Joan Manuel Serrat wrote:I had a dream that you will go to NYU.
