Oh yeah, will be withdrawing. Good luck everyone.

Anyone else pulling off of the wait list or withdrawing in general?

Any idea how big this years class of PTers will be?

Got waitlisted. Not sure if I want to bother writing an LOCI to SMU. Price is pretty steep, although it does give good placement in some big Texas markets. Blah I'll probably just ride out the William and Mary and IU-B waitlist.

Sorry to hear that. If you want to work in Dallas, stay on the waitlist.

Just your average waitlist letter. Got too many applications not enough seats blah blah blah. Contact office of admissions if you don't want to be kept on the waitlist. Waitlist isn't ranked. Keep info up to date so we can contact you. Standard stuff. I will say this, at least SMU got back to me alot quicker than fucking ASU. SMU put me on hold a few months back then updated me to waitlist and told me in writing both times. I'll give the school credit for that.

I noticed on page 72 of this thread that someone posted the section schedules for fall 2010. Is con law not until second semester for 1L's?

Correct. Crim Law in the fall, Con Law I in the spring. The other five classes are for the full year (and labeled I & II for fall & spring - e.g. Property I & Property II). Con Law II is required, and you'll take it as a 2L or 3L.

I'll be waiting it out. At first I thought chances of getting off might be pretty good.. but now I'm thinking thats not the case. But, I'll still wait it out. Cant do it if there's no money available though.

Did anyone who went to the last part-time admitted student's dinner bring their husband, wife, or significant other? Or is that a bad idea?

I saw people doing it at the FT ASD. I also saw it at Wake (did it, too).

I don't think it's any big deal at all. It's only natural they would be curious about what is going to take you out of their life for the next few years.

I imagine it'd be especially prevalent at the PT ASDs, since those students tend to be older, have more work experience, etc. I think it's completely reasonable to bring your spouse to an admitted students event. Parents tailing behind you is a different matter though.

Yeah I considered that. I'd assume a significant portion of the PTer's are married and stuff. It seems reasonable to me. I just thought I'd check with you guys and see if anybody had done it/seen it done. I appreciate it.

Has anyone received their financial aid packages yet? Also, is anyone unable to view their scholarship award in the financial aid section of access?

Anyone read this yet? Anyone have details and actual facts on this program? The web chatter is useless right now.

When I called to RSVP for the last one, they asked me if I was bringing a guest. My wife couldn't make it so I went by myself, but there were a couple people who brought someone. It didn't seem out of place at all.

Other schools have offered stipends straight to students to work in the public sector only when they graduate. This seems like an interesting and more rewarding version of those types of programs.
