They haven't even accepted a single person since my app went complete. It's so depressing.

I applied in December and still nothing. SMU is one of my top two.....both of which I am waiting to hear from. :( Maybe some acceptances this week??
What are your numbers? I have a 165 LSAT, which was their auto-admit # last year :? .
You should definitely get in. I am below their 25% and applied part time. I am definitely not counting on anything but I really am hoping! It is really going to suck if I wait around until May just to be rejected. :? Good luck to you though!

Still no word from SMU. WL for George Mason. Applied for PT. Funky JD might need to extend the zone up to the 75019 area.

Wow, nice offer at BU. Is that your top choice (until Columbia/Cornell come through)?
Thanks! :) I'm behind on checking the forums! Yes, BU is top choice! I was waitlisted at Cornell. Haven't heard back from Columbia. :)

I got an email from Maggie today and got friended on FB by some people from the FB group. I have to say I am more and more excited that law school is transitioning from a hypothetical pipe dream to a tangible (and terrifying) reality.

Dear SMU,

Please admit me.

Additionally if you aren't ready for that step, at least update my file so I know you still care. I am hurt by the lack of attention that you have shown me over the past 3 months.

Sincerely,

Jgrin

Do y'all think that law schools browse these forums?

Illinois, UNC, and Emory for sure do. I'm quite sure many other schools do, too. I'd be more surprised if schools didn't.

That's such a good idea that I wish I could have you pick my Powerball numbers tonight.

Mine changed as well. It went directly from file complete to DR. Expecting a ding.

Yeah, I've read the same on LSN. Are you PT or FT?

My status went complete again, with the following notice...

You may notice that your current status date has changed. This is either because a portion of your file has been updated or the initial review of your file has been completed. Nither of these situations change your early, regular, or late decision standing. We are unable to release decisions by phone or email. All final decisions will be mailed.

I applied FT/PT...

Anyone comments would be appreciated...

What happened to me, and what other people have reported as the normal sequence of events is:

1. When your file first goes complete, you get a complete date.

2. When a decision has been reached, your complete date changes and there is a message that says, You may notice that your current status date has changed. This is either because a portion of your file has been updated or the initial review of your file has been completed. Neither of these situations change your early, regular, or late decision standing. We are unable to release decisions by phone or email. All final decisions will be mailed.

3. Shortly after the complete date changes and the above message is displayed (it was less than 24 hours in my case) the status changes to Decision Rendered.

4. You receive either a phone call or letter with the decision.

People who were both accepted and rejected reported the same sequence. The difference was that people who got accepted received a phone call within a day or two of the change. People who were rejected received a letter.

So it looks like a batch went out today... and I claim the title of Nostradamus de April for predicting it :) (And we'll just ignore my miserably incorrect predictions for the earlier rounds!)

Hopefully all who are waiting get phone calls soon!
