Re: SMU 2010!
I'm confused as to why the 1st seat deposit deadline is April 1 but the admissions office is saying they have until the end of April to respond with a decision for those of us waiting.
Does anyone know how this works - If someone receives an acceptance after the deposit deadline on April 1, when is the deadline for him/her to place a 1st seat deposit?
And, is it really likely they will be sending out more acceptances after April 1 at all...

at the asd they said they had accepted about 10% of applicants thus far and planned to accept another 10-15%

I think it is apparent that if you are accepted after 4/1, you will be given a different deposit deadline.

Re: SMU 2010!
I have a semi-weird question.
I'm going to be in the evening program at Dedman. What if I decide I don't want a job and I'd rather take some interesting undergrad courses instead? Can you be concurrently enrolled in the Law school and the undergrad institution?
To take the inquiry a step further, anybody want to take a shot as to how this would work with fafsa? Would I need to fill out an undergrad fafsa in addition to the graduate one I've already completed?
Anybody else thought about doing this?

Re: SMU 2010!
I'm guessing nobody heard back today. I guess they are going to wait and see how many people put down deposits before they send out their next wave of admits. I bet they've got a list and as soon as they see how many openings they have from people not depositing they will pull the trigger. I'd wager on a batch going out net thurs/fri.

You're permitted to take graduate classes only, and you have to prove that they will "enhance" your education, but it sounds like its fairly easy to do. I know a 1L who is planning on taking a graduate Spanish course next year.
There is only one FAFSA, you don't have to fill out a different application.

Seat deposits are due in one week!!
Hopefully this means there will be more admits soon. I feel like I'm the only one left waiting and my numbers are definitely solid for SMU (I just went complete VERY VERY late).
Believe me, you're not the only one waiting.
Not even close...

For those of you still waiting, is your status "under review" yet or is it still on "application complete?" I've been stuck on complete since early Feb.

Mine still says application complete. I've been waiting since mid-Jan

Complete 2/3, applied in December if I recall correctly.

Re: SMU 2010!
This might not apply to SMU, but I was waitlisted at another school. They said in that email that while some seats may open up after the April 15th seat deposit, most WL movement happens after the second seat deposit deadline. Has anyone taken a look at the dates of SMU's past admits on LSN? I might take a look at it now and post my findings here.

Same except I applied in mid January.
