Re: SMU 2010!
The Intercultural orientation was basically a networking event, and the 1L's and 2L's I met were all cool. The 2L's said that shorts are fine for tomorrow.

On the loans and such, don't check SFspace. The first action will be that the loans post to your student account on Access. Then, it's about 2 business days before your funds will be disbursed to the account you've set-up on SFspace.
SFspace is the secondary accounts information site. It's not updated as quickly as your Access account. In some cases, it will have entirely inaccurate information for days.

I understand that we don't need the brief until wednesday. Ugh briefing is so useless anyway.

Still haven't gotten my money but I keep getting these emails for completing entrance counselling even though I have...twice. Rather frusrating since I need to finish paying for books and such...

Re: SMU 2010!
Here's the way I understand it for those of us in Section 1:
We don't need to bring anything tomorrow, 8/17, for the first day of orientation.
We need to bring the Kiefer brief on Wednesday, 8/18.
We need to buy the syllabus for Torts from Lone Star Shipping. It will contain information about our first reading assignment which needs to be done by Monday, 8/23.
We need to buy the LRWA packet from AlphaGraphics available Wednesday, 8/18 and bring it to the LRWA orientation on Friday, 8/20.
We need to complete the Summer diagnostic assignment for our first LRWA class on Tuesday, 8/24.
Forrester cancelled property for Friday, but she has assigned a reading assignment for Wednesday, 8/25.
Crespi has assigned contracts reading to be discussed Friday, 8/27.
No assignments as of yet for Bellin's Criminal Law or Martinez's Civil Procedure.

The same thing happened to me. I finally ended up going to SMU and giving the financial aid office a printout showing that I had completed the entrance counseling. Call or visit them in the morning.Texasboundanddown wrote:Still haven't gotten my money but I keep getting these emails for completing entrance counselling even though I have...twice. Alright, so how are we TLS people going to identify ourselves as part of the super-awesome club?

I don't think they would appreciate that. I have to do some creative cutting as it is for TLS.

I'll be the black guy in shorts and a pastel polo. If everyone else is down, I suggest that we put a dot on the lower-right corner of our nametags.

That is an excellent suggestion. I'll be the white guy in jeans.
I realize that might not be descriptive enough, so I will also have on a dark blue Underarmour polo.

As a psych undergrad, I would totally check all of you out first, then, if i thought you were cool people, I'd add the dot to my tag. Anyone else think that same thing?mbusch22 wrote:+1UTL_plz wrote:sure, i'm inThirteen wrote:I'll be the black guy in shorts and a pastel polo. If I didn't want to hang out with someone, I simply wouldn't. But I enjoy meeting people I already "know".
