That said, getting in does feel pretty good =p
He's not a Cal student — yet.

I received an "Unknown Number" call about 3 hours ago and missed it, but I didn't get an e-mail or voicemail, so I think it's safe to assume that was either a telemarketer or stalker...

It was "Unknown Number" for me. Though at least one person has reported getting a call from a (650) number.

Stanford — unlike Yale — has not shown a propensity to call on weekends.

I got one earlier today, too. I shouldn't have been excited because it's a Sunday, but I got excited anyway.

It was the DNC.

I got a call from the DNC from a (617) number on a Monday when I was (irrationally) expecting a JR2. That was awful.

Honestly this probably varies by cell phone carrier. On AT&T, it's "Unknown Number."

Has anyone on the east coast received a rejection? I can't tell you what a relief it was to open my mailbox and see NOTHING today (I was off campus all weekend)... but I'm sort of wondering if something unpleasant will be waiting for me Monday or Tuesday afternoon. :P

I have family on the East Coast (NYC, specifically), and I live about 30 miles from the Stanford campus. If I send something via standard mail on a Thursday, it usually gets to New York on Monday.

I threw my hat into the ring at Stanford. Was planning on attending school in Canada but a Harvard acceptance has got me re-thinking things. I know a Harvard acceptance is far from a guarantee at Stanford but I like the idea of living in the Northern California a lot more than I like the idea of living in the North East United States so I've sent off my app and we'll see what happens...

V6 - I didn't get in CLS yet (and my mail has come today). Feel better? Oh wait, your numbers are better than mine. Nevermind.

YOU haven't gotten in yet. Now I feel better.

I don't know which is more likely to be in my mail in a few hours, a CLS acceptance or a YLS rejection. Ha.

Here's the question: would you rather have both or neither?

Tough one. I think I'd go with both, if only due to impatience.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
