It looks like everyone who got in was complete by 10/22. So maybe there's still hope that those of us who went complete in late Oct./early Nov. might hear this month.

Catwoman, would you consider SLS over HLS/YLS?

Hard to say! I like it better than Harvard, I think, but I might prefer Yale. I'd really love to have the option of visiting SLS and learning more about it, since I've heard great things from friends there. I'm California-born and would be really tempted to return, if only because it's been a long time since I've been anywhere near my family.

Gotcha. I do agree that SLS and YLS are more similar to each other than they are to HLS in terms of the kind of applicants they attract. I'm not really sure what it is, but that's the sense I get.

That's my sense as well. Speaking for myself, the small class sizes of SLS and YLS are a real plus. HLS is huge; it has the biggest class size in the top 10 and one of the biggest in the country. Partly for that reason, I have the sense that it's easier to cultivate relationships with profs at SLS and YLS, and that's a big deal if you're interested in clerking or academia.

Also, I have the (perhaps incorrect) perception that a higher percentage of HLS students are interested in big law. There's nothing wrong with big law, but I would prefer to be among students that, overall, are a little more focused on public interest law and academia.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. My softs are fine...but probably not "get accepted w/o going to committee review" worthy. Grumble. Time to just sit around waiting for my phone to ring (again) and not study for my final tomorrow

Hey all - so I got the complete (except for dean's cert) after lsac sent my report. Does SLS send another email upon receipt of the dean's cert? It should've arrived over 2 weeks ago...

I e-mailed them after a couple of weeks then they e-mail me back AND sent the generic e-mail the same or next day saying it was complete.

Congrats to all of the new admits! They're getting perilously close to my own completion date (about 11/10 or 11/11). I'll be away from my phone for most of the rest of the afternoon, though, so I won't know until very late tonight if there is news.

I think it's the miserable cold that I am suffering through right now... but Stanford has become my top choice. Complete 11/6 and really hoping for a call this week. Please Stanford?? I heart you.
