I'm hoping for a packet, but it wouldn't come until probably mid next week (Mountain West). One of the admissions people came to my school and we chatted and seemed to connect. I told her that I had already applied, and then she asked my name and said that she'd look at my file. Hopefully that's a good thing...

I applied 11/2 so I didn't expect to hear back until much later.

Hm, I was in the batch of "complete" emails that went out 11/25 after submitting 11/8. I was thinking that since people have started hearing, I'd be in the early set of decisions since I'm ED. I hope I don't have to wait until the "end of December" like they say after all this excitement! Of course, I'm on the west coast so I'm probably looking at early next week at best.

came home to find the big purple envelope in the mailbox last night. no scholarship info, no packet even. just the acceptance letter (dated 12/1) and the seat deposit form.

Are any of those who've been accepted able to log into the NYU admitted students website?

https://its.law.nyu.edu/admitted/login/ ... /index.cfm

Most admitted last year could log in within 5 days of receiving the acceptance. So if the same process applies this time, it may be another way of knowing whether one has been accepted, if the acceptance package hasn't already reached you.

I'm kicking myself for having all mail sent to my international address as opposed to my parents' domestic address.

+1. i was thinking i'd just let the lack of a complete email slide but is this a bad idea? i feel like lots of people are in this boat with me though.

I got a complete but not a received email. Took 15 days. I would say the complete email is important, but give it time since they look busy admitting people rather than completing apps.
