Yeah, I got mine yesterday after applying December 8th. Finally. Hopefully I get a decision at some point.eviee wrote:Got my complete email today after applying in late december. Considering the holiday, NYUs notoriety for no communication, and the sure high influx of apps, I'm impressed. Here's to hoping they dont string me along till April waiting for a decision
I and my jealousy want to tell you to go here for this sort of thing:englawyer wrote:when is the financial aid form due for scholly consideration? by march?

Negative. Sent a LOCI this week.Drew2010 wrote:Any held ED'ers hear anything yet?
I called to ask whether they will definitely wait until April to re-review our apps (I was thinking of the Cornell deferment to post-february, and the Penn waitlist where they say they won't start looking until mid-may).. I was told a letter could come any time between "tomorrow and april"...mayosmith wrote:Negative. Sent a LOCI this week.Drew2010 wrote:Any held ED'ers hear anything yet?
Terrific...but still, thanks for doing that Drew, I think all the deferees appreciate it.Drew2010 wrote:I called to ask whether they will definitely wait until April to re-review our apps (I was thinking of the Cornell deferment to post-february, and the Penn waitlist where they say they won't start looking until mid-may).. No problem.. I mean on the one hand I'm glad it could possibly come soon, although I have no way of knowing how likely that is.. on the other hand it is frustrating because there is no way of knowing when it is coming, it will just poof show up in the mail one day...mayosmith wrote:Terrific...but still, thanks for doing that Drew, I think all the deferees appreciate it.Drew2010 wrote:I called to ask whether they will definitely wait until April to re-review our apps (I was thinking of the Cornell deferment to post-february, and the Penn waitlist where they say they won't start looking until mid-may).. hmm..i have already been admitted to a school where i was denied a fee waiver.BenJ wrote:Makes no difference at all. I suppose if you asked for a merit-based fee waiver and were denied, it would guarantee that you would not get in, but all schools that give out fee waivers routinely give out waivers to candidates who are blatantly auto-rejects as well as competitive candidates and likely admits. One of the main purposes of merit-based fee waivers is to improve a school's selectivity by encouraging a lot of reach and extreme reach candidates to apply and get rejected.
