If you're not in the first batch you're out...
...actually looking at last years LSN the decisions seem to roll in on a constant basis once they started up. Some who applied early didn't get accepted till months after decisions started. I am keeping hope that the acceptance will get here soon even if it isn't in this first batch.

so you were being sarcastic? (i hope)

:( Sarcasm doesn't translate very well on here.

Today, on the phone:
Me: Did I get any mail today?
Dad: Yeah, one.
Me: IS IT PURPLE??!?!
Dad: Uhh... no.
Me:

I'm putting in a wish at 11:11 for those of us still waiting. Tomorrow will be our lucky day.

Thanks for extrapolating that. Makes me feel a little better, even with borderline numbers :|

Thought I'd share with TLS - I got a purple envelope earlier today - I'm in the Southwest so it took a while to get here.

Received Oct. 27th
Complete Nov. 3rd

Hope that helps! (I'm too lazy to post all those details on LSN...)

Hmm... your numbers give me hope. My GPA is .07 lower. The problem is that I've got a 163 in my history and they claim to average. How convincing does my addendum have to be?

I'm hoping to go complete in a week or so. Dunno how much that'll hurt my chances along with the old LSAT. I'm not expecting an acceptance.

For those of you that got in with multiple LSATs, did you write an addendum?

164-171. No addendum. Didn't seem to be a problem.

Hmm, good to hear... Problem is your GPA's much higher than mine - even if they did average, you'd probably have a decent shot. If they average in my case, I'm thinking 167/3.6 doesn't have much of a shot at NYU.

Whatever, I'm not expecting anything. I'll give it a shot. They did send me a fee waiver so I've got absolutely nothing to lose.

no addendum. honestly, i'm really beginning to very much doubt that schools still average, even those that claim to

In! Got the letter today, dated 12/1.

Low 160s->mid 170s LSAT, ~3.8 GPA.

That would be my suspicion, too. Especially if it's a statistically significant jump.

You all are small-time, lol. I improved by 20 points. I've conditioned myself to believe this isn't cause for concern. I hope I'm not wrong.

+1. Though it seems possible that it could be a reason to preclude a JR1/JR2. Didn't both you and crackberry retake, and neither of you have a JR2 (yet!). I feel like Harvard might use it from time to time as a tie-breaker.

mm, sensitive subject, heh. can't say for crackberry, but i retook and improved several points. but i think there are already at least a few cases this cycle of people getting in with a competitive high LSAT score, but an average score that would probably put them completely out of the running if it were given much consideration

i applied back in september. FWIW, i'm pretty sure that my getting in "today" was just a factor of my address being far away - i'm in california so i'd imagine it took a while to get there. i don't think there's a big distinction to be made in terms of getting in today vs getting in several days ago
