I think that's the case for 99% of law schools right now.

Also, wishful thinking, but does NYU ever give out scholly money even if you didn't specifically apply for one of their scholarships?
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/HumanCapital

Seems like they do... Also, there were other amounts listed for other 08-09 applicants.
From the LSN profile:

"I wrote a why Northwestern essay, an essay for the NYU scholarship..."
Yikes, missed that. Only saw the last line. Hmm... Sorry Sogui.

Hey all,

I'm planning on going to the admitted students days March 4-5. I'll be flying over from Toronto though. Do you guys know if NYU offers any assistance with travel expenses because of financial need?

The BPE arrived today. I was able to get in to the admitted students website on Thursday afternoon. Really fast turnaround to get the package already in MA.

So I know the consensus seems to be that it's kind of random whether they send out received/complete emails, but how long with NO contact should I give them before I follow up? Submitted 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a peep.

3 weeks. You're probably already complete, but just give it a few more days.

I'd be an auto-admit if I had your 3.9!! Good luck to you as well.

So the consensus is, from here on out, admits are updated weekly every Thursday on the admitted student site? I'd like to know so I don't waste my time/sanity with the login attempt.

I was able to log in on a Wednesday (1/27), exactly one week after going complete.

I just received an invite to the San Francisco admitted students event, but didn't receive an email prior to that stating that I was accepted.

My mailing address is actually my uncle's, who lives 15 minutes away, but I haven't dropped by to pick up my mail yet this week.

In any case, I tried logging in to their admitted students site and I got in no problem. Is it safe to say that I did in fact get in, before I run around celebrating?

Sure don't wanna end up like these people... http://gothamist.com/2009/04/04/nyu_acc ... out_of.php

Thanks much,
-Greg

Anyone apply for the AnBryce that has heard back yet, or is that for sure in March that we hear back?

NYU was sufficiently embarrassed by that error that they now only contact admits by snail mail. You're in, no questions asked, and your uncle probably has a Big Purple Envelope waiting for you.

Should I call to confirm the receipt of the LOCI I sent Thursday?

I sent it via email in conjunction with an updated transcript they requested.

I emailed them a LOCI on a Friday morning and heard back from them on the following Monday afternoon. I'd wait until tomorrow and see if they send you a confirmation email today.

I haven't heard anything- I think we hear between Feb and March 15? not positive though. I assumed it was a similar timeline to the other named scholarships?

I did (and I know a bunch of others said they did the same). But I don't know if it was smart...

I pretty much told them that I love them and that I would withdraw all other apps immediately if accepted.

Just to be sure...the admitted students site that everyone is referring to is the one where you enter your SSN and birth date, correct? Last thing I heard from NYU was that they wanted fall transcripts (more damning than helpful) and I am losing faith in my chances...

Is it taking a long time to get your transcript processed?

I got the request a couple of weeks ago, and LSAC sent to them already. However, I don't think I will get any confirmation from NYU about receiving my transcript. I expect to wait till the end of March before hearing.

I mailed my transcript like 2 weeks ago and no response from LSAC. Do they email you when they process your transcript?

I don't think so. Check your transcript academic report to see if your GPA reflects your fall grades, and check your law school's application report status to see if they have sent out an update.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
