ASD is in less than a week. If you cant log onto the admitted students site, I'd say you aren't in. That means you, Daesonesb. Stop trying to log in to the admitted students site. It's over.

Lol, I was looking to see who 'Daesonesb' was so I could call out the BURN. Self-burn it seems.

Hmm.. this will probably make me sound like a noob: but is there really another ASD coming up? How many have they had?

I don't think so. I think the 4/8-4/9 ASD's was the last set.

I'm surprised I haven't been rejected yet ~ went complete 2/9 and my lsat is below their 25%.. must be my GPA keeping me around, I guess. If you look at LSN accepts/rejects have been made for people with those complete dates, so I'm thinking maybe we're headed for the waitlist? Do you think it'd be a good idea to do a preemptive LOCI if I have significant updates to tell them about (i.e phi beta kappa, being published, winning an award etc..) or do you think decisions will be out too soon for such a letter to matter?

i would send am email with updates and briefly express your continued interest. those sound like very valid updates. it can only help at this point! and if you do get WL, you can write a more detailed LOCI then.

tried logging on to the admitted students site while listening to Empire State of Mind and watching the Yankees (a definite stretch for a Californian). still no luck, it's not looking good.

have been doing this religiously. doesn't seem to work. i've gone through entire 45 minute runs with that song on loop, only to come back and still not be accepted.

She is just upset at you because you thought of the idea first. If she can't have it, you can't either.

Can two NYU admits PM their SSN's and birthdates just so I can get a glimpse of what the AS site looks like?

I just booked an extremely last minute ticket to NYC to visit Columbia and NYU this Thursday and Friday. I'm planning to see CLS on Thursday because the city bus from LaGuardia stops there.

Does anyone who has visited NYU have any suggestions for what I can do to get a feel for the campus and student life?

And if I may follow up to that, I am flying out next Thursday to visit NYU (Columbia if I have time). I am a NYC newb: LaGuardia or JFK? And any tips on places to stay? Feel free to PM me! Thanks!

^ Looks like JFK as Laguardia does not have direct flights from Las Vegas.

So, the real follow-up is what to do on a free Saturday? But I'm sure we'll (bringing the wife) find something...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
