I'm going to be the first person in over 2 years to be waitlist/denied with a 177 and better than a 3.5. (at least on LSN) Yay?

did you get your acceptance letter from fordham yet? i think the $ letters come later. i haven't gotten either yet.

shall we give it one more week before giving up on nyu?

gah, what are you numbers again? i (almost) wish they'd just reject my sorry lsat score right now. this is torture.

I'm a retaker at both 75% numbers. Knowing how numbers-oriented NYU can be, I thought things would go well. But after several months of silence and hearing how they've been treating retakers, I'm no longer so optimistic.

Does this harshness towards retakers include those with a cancelled score? I have my one score plus a cancel, so no two scores that can be averaged. Last year 172/3.5+ was like auto-admit at NYU and even with the increase in applications (although I dont think NYU was hit nearly as badly with that as many other T14 schools), it seems their number whores ways just aren't as strong this year I guess unfortunately. I think if the admitted student site is a no-go for me next Wednesday, I officially will give up on an acceptance and wait for my April waitlist/ding

Well, you know...it's all better than getting rejection letters, right? At least we're being considered. If they knew they didn't want us, we'd know it by now. That's what I keep telling myself. Over...

i sent a LOCI about 6 weeks ago and also told them i'd withdraw from other schools and make a deposit immediately. no word from them, though.

Nope. I scored my 177 the first time around. Thought about retaking it ... but realized that'd just be silly.

they seem to update the admitted students site on wednesdays. it's been much slower (at least on TLS) lately, with 1 or 2 people claiming success each week. maybe next wednesday will be THE day

its early in March yet... maybe since they know we will all drop everything to go, then they think they can wait to tell us until the last minute since we'll be sure things. this is driving me insane.
