For this with transcript update requests... how long do you think we have? I won't be able to get it to them for at least two weeks.

I wouldn't expect them to return to our files for another month (yay--more waiting!). I think of this request as a semi-hold/we need more information to make a decision.

That's good for me at least. If I get $$ from any of CCN it'll be because they're try to somewhat match an MVP offer.

NYU was the only school of CCN to WL/accept the 180 3.0 splitter from two cycles ago.

I think you have a better UG than that person did so maybe you have a shot?

TBH, if the decision ever arises, I'd probably pick UVA. I'm not married to NYC biglaw either and actually am NYC averse but would live there if I got the right offer.

I just think their placement is comparable and the COL and QOL differences tip the scale in UVA's favor.

I've been wondering the same thing, though I have yet to hear back from NYU. NYU is higher ranked and probably a better fit but with the cost of living and the difference in tuition it's probably twice as expensive, and I am not sure it's worth it.

Really, the only significant placement advantage that I can see is in PI. Which could be a self-selection thing, too.

Probably is. Most everyone's LRAP sucks except for HYS CN MB.

Chicago's is actually better than I thought given that they don't take assets or spousal income into the equation and they have a pretty high ceiling. It still leaves you with a pretty small take home income, but this means you almost always qualify for it regardless of how many yachts you own.

In by snail mail today!!! (or yesterday i don't think i checked the mail wasnt expecting anything this early). 3.7/176. envelope postmarked 1/27. submitted 12/29. received complete email around 1/20 or so for all the people who like to see stats (like me).

Try their directory on their website. It should have e-mail addresses for specific people.

The person in charge of admissions is actually an assistant dean at the school -- Kenneth Kleinrock. His title is Assistant Dean for Admissions. Don't have an email address for him, though.

I applied on 1/1, received the notice of receipt on 1/12 and have yet to receive an application complete email. Is this wait normal? Is anyone else in this position?

Perfectly normal. I was in the 1/12-received wave as well; I sent them an e-mail after I didn't get the complete e-mail with most others on 1/20, and they got back to me on 1/22 saying that my application was complete and under review. You almost certainly are as well.

The admitted students site says the financial aid form will be available in mid to late February.
