So I'll be "completion pending" for a month on Friday. Anyone else in a similar situation? I've would think it's my late third LOR but I checked the box telling them to just complete my app and not wait on the LOR.

I've been completion pending for almost a month, as well, and I haven't been waiting on any letters!

Cool. I'll get my emotional breakdown routine set for the campus center mailroom. Preferably to occur in front of a prospective student tour and/or not-yet-disillusioned underclassmen.

It'll probably happen for me right in front of my family when everybody's home for the holidays. Merry Christmas.

Pretty sure I'd skip that and go for the straight whiskey.

My grandmother was taunting me yesterday for not having any law school acceptances.

Whiskeynog, ftw.
Fuck the holidays. Instead of going home, I'm setting sail on my new ship, the USS: Denial.

I'm fairly certain I will have already jumped aboard the USS: Bargaining by that time.

Dear Columbia adcom members who may be, but probably aren't, reading this: Have you considered filling your entire class with EDrs? You would have 100% yield. Even Yale doesn't have that. THINK ABOUT IT!

I don't like this proposition.

The USS: Bargaining or the USS: Lowered Expectations?
I only ask because they both set sail at roughly the same time, and people often confuse the two.

Re: Columbia 2010
For people who are stuck on completion pending: I was stuck there for over a month as well. I finally e-mailed them and they responded same-day saying my application is complete and they've been having technical difficulties with the status check. The day after I e-mailed, my status switched to complete. So you might want to drop them a line.
