Sorry to hear that, TG. What was the letter dated?

I'm not sure why I even want to go to CLS anyway considering it's a barely accredited South American state school.

I heard they were moving to the correspondence school model to cut costs.

I heard they were being acquired by the University of Phoenix to be their new law school branch. That should really help CLS's brand.

No worries! If it hadn't been for the fee waiver, I probably wouldn't have applied -- I knew I didn't have a chance in hell!

The letter was dated 02/09, but it only arrived yesterday. That said, I'm on the West Coast and the USPS just came off of a three-day holiday.

well, UofP is a nation-wide, you know? I think it'll really help with the name recognition that Columbia is currently lacking.

Wait, was TG really the first CLS RD ding of the cycle reported on TLS? Maybe I'm misremembering, but that would be funny.

Not to mention UofP's large, well qualified student base will allow CLS to draw a large number of spectacular applicants who would never even have considered it before due to its tenuous accreditation and strong association with drug cartels.

For real? That would be an honor! I just assumed I was one of many on the ding truck. I'm gonna frame this shit.

EDIT: Their LSN chart is blowing my mind! Tons and tons of folks with worse GPA/LSAT numbers are getting WL'd. They must have really disliked me.

The wording of mine was quite kind? Some highlights:

"After careful consideration of your application for admissions, we regret to inform you that we are unable to take favorable action."

"We share your disappointment...[that we are] unable to accept many candidates who we felt would have made a significant contribution to our Law School."

"We wish you much success and satisfaction at your law school of choice and beyond, throughout your career."

You're the only ding recipient, so far, to consider the wording as kind.

I think the 'unable to take favorable action' part is kinda mean.

Haha, definitely a pretty weak euphemism. Favorable?

The Harvard one seemed meaner. It basically said, "We can't accept you because we have standards to uphold."

They definitely need a better translator. The wording is awkward. Sorry for dragging this joke out.

I get acceptances every day.

Then I wake up.
