sometimes i fool myself into believing that my gpa is not too terribly low to qualify me for the dream of a butler. but then i remember my lack of vce.

Yeah my app screams PI, but my 169 screams WL/reject at Columbia.

omg it sounds like a new full-ride scholarship. amazing. jealous.

hm, but i doubt i was being considered for that, so i'm back to being heartbroken by columbia.

Damn I hate the LSAT.

+1...

On another note, the admitted student binder is the most gorgeous thing I've seen yet from a law school.

i think there are at least two. hopin10 on lsn is different from michaela, because hopin10 is not in SLS, and michaela is.

Michaela didn't report a date for the acceptance; she could have gotten a Hamilton last week or something. Anyway, if she did indeed also get that peachy-keen PI scholarship, it could still mean that only the PI scholarship-accepts were sent out on 2/2. We know the Hamiltons are over, so those are the only two possibilities.

I, of course, know what they officially say. Just wanted to see some human responses. Thanks though blue, you're always the helpful one! :).

lol thanks...as you know, I'm a retaker too, so I hope they regard it positively. I don't see why they would place a huge weight on the lower score since they don't have to report it. I'm convinced now that NYU doesn't actually average scores, maybe the same can be said for CLS?

I had two scores 13 points apart, and I got in with the first wave of RD acceptances. If you take the time to peruse individual profiles on LSN, I think you'll find strong evidence that CLS does not put much weight (if any) on the average score.

That's nothing. LieutKaffee jumped by 20-22 points.

Luck, mostly. My June 2009 score (163) was ten points below my PT average and two points below my first ever PT. I wasn't sick; I wasn't plagued by annoying LSAT proctors; and I wasn't especially nervous. I just had a bad day. If I took the LSAT 50 times, I'd probably score 163 once.

Before the September 2009 test, I did no preparation besides taking four practice tests, one each weekend, in the four weeks leading up to the test. Other than the four PTs, I did not study and I did not think about the LSAT at all. I made a conscious effort to stay out of TLS from July through September. I averaged 176 on my four PTs, and that's what I ended up scoring on test day.
