ITT people post indexes in a hilarious but ultimately pointless attempt to rationalize their neurotic behavior.

4.2 index here, which FWIW was enough (plus strong softs) to get me to the 'second reserve' group in 2008...

Pretty sure that's a miscalculation. 3.9 / 173 is a 4.46UrbanAchievers wrote:4.5. Seems high for a 173/3.5er like myself. Are there other factors in the index? I'm not expecting an admit based on my numbers.

4.61, hoping to be in the next round of admits. (And maybe a Butler, please, Dean Iwerebon? I loved you when you visited my undergrad. Just let me in, waiting is killing me.)

Admitted today, 4.61 index. No scholarship offer; I'm now utterly perplexed as to why they asked for my fall grades...

Me too. Although I'm sure you'll get some sort of scholarship money. Just rarely seem to see Butlers and Hamiltons go to sub 176-177 folks. I'm sure they'll give you 60k+ when all is said and done.GeePee wrote:Admitted today, 4.61 index. No scholarship offer; I'm now utterly perplexed as to why they asked for my fall grades...

I feel like quality of undergrad has a lot to do with it as well, unless you're a 177+/4.0. Whatever... Harvard awaits! I feel like my cycle is more or less over at this point.VoidSix wrote:Me too. Re: Columbia 2010
I feel like quality of undergrad matters a little even at that point. So far, I haven't heard back from Stanford and I was pseudo-held at Michigan. It seems like everyone else with my numbers is doing better in those respects. My undergrad is ranked around the 80s or 90s.GeePee wrote:I feel like quality of undergrad has a lot to do with it as well, unless you're a 177+/4.0. Whatever... Harvard awaits! Wouldn't consider Stanford or Yale over Harvard?GeePee wrote:I feel like quality of undergrad has a lot to do with it as well, unless you're a 177+/4.0. Whatever... Harvard awaits! To make people feel better, roughly 4.7 index here and my parents still haven't gotten anything in the mail. My back hurts. Now I know why they call this kind of thing "limbo."
