I just got in today. I was a December re-taker and I already had all of my other stuff in well before hand. 3.6/177

Yes for those who applied before the test, no for those who applied after, it seems.

If we're submitting a LOCI, who should we address it to? The director or dean of admissions?

yeah, about that...if i went complete back in early Dec. (RD) and did not get an acceptance in this batch, should I start getting that LOCI ready? or are there more waves to come?

This is me. Submitted in November with September LSAT score. Asked the committee to wait for my December score. I live in NYC and go to Columbia for graduate school so I'm really hoping I luck out. I pass the law school everyday and sometimes I just want to go inside and beg them to accept me haha. :D

Also, have any RD applicants been waitlisted or rejected yet?

I wrote to the dean after being deferred from the ED batch. Not sure why you would write to the director (not really sure who the director would be...). Received a nice, generic email thanking me and adding that it would be put in my file.

LOL at CLS wanting grade reports from lysis and GeePee. What do they think, that their GPAs dropped like .2 to below their 75th? Maybe it's just a way to gauge interest.

Not necessarily. While some December completes have heard, many with good numbers have not. Admissions told 1 individual with a 12/7 complete date that people with complete dates around that time mostly wouldn't hear until late February.

What's up, everyone. I'm in SoCal (178/3.75, but an AA from community college) and definitely starting to worry. But I did a search on LSN of Columbia applicants for this cycle with GPAs between 3.6 and 4.0 and LSATs 170-180, and there a ton of people in there who applied in September and October and early November who are still pending, including quite a few with both numbers above Columbia's medians. So there have to be more acceptances coming for those early applicants unless the applicant pool this year is absolutely insane.

Anyways, Columbia would be amAzing - is anyone else here interested in the 3rd year LSE LL.M. program?

I'm interested in the LL.B. 4 year program.....but hope is slowly slipping away, day by day.

I definitely am. I love london more than anything (see avatar) and wouldnt mind working there at some point. (although im partial to kings college or UCL instead of LSE). However, I don't know that I want to miss out on a 3rd year in nyc, and you have to apply so early (feb/march of 1L) that I could easily change my mind either way.

I'm very very very very very very interested in the LSE program, specifically the European Law speciality.

+1 and also interested in the 4 year LLB, but, well, hope is fading.

Hopefully this eases a few minds:

http://columbia.lawschoolnumbers.com/ap ... er=asc&p=7

Acceptances reported almost every day after the first RD decision day (1/22/09). Also, if you're borderline, it seems that most of the holds and waitlists went out in late February (2/23/09). It's also worth noting that many of those who were held or waitlisted with numbers above the median were accepted at HLS. Columbia seems to have a knack for knowing whether CLS / NYC is really someone's thing.

If I don't get in, I'll probably beat myself up for writing my PS about public interest. I imagine CLS is wary of PI people with NYU right next door and Berkeley on the West Coast. Not to say they couldn't not like my file for other reasons.
