If you get banned, couldn't you just create a new profile?

Is there an "under review" category at CLS? I went complete tonight, just curious about what the next step might be.

is harvard really like this, though? at this point I'm really doubting that a 176+ is the HLS pantydropper i thought it was when I began applying this cycle. it seems like there's been really limited success for high LSAT / lowish (for H) GPA types, at least so far this cycle

Not every splitter gets into HLS, although some do. They really do prefer a balance, I think.

i dunno, i see the update thing as something that now delays my app, which is sort of a bummer. so of course, i dropped all work and got them everything they needed within an hour.

If I may ask, when did you apply? And when you logged into My Columbia Law, did the website indicate that your application was incomplete? I ask because my status is now complete and I am wondering if a similar error may downgrade my status to "f'd".

Thanks.

i applied in september and went complete forever ago. my My Columbia is still "complete." the email was just a clarification question and probably similar to what other people described as a request for more info about a leave of absence. don't worry, you're fine. and i'm pretty sure my status has not been downgraded to "f'd."

What I meant by that was more that both CLS and HLS will very rarely dip below a certain LSAT cutoff, not that they auto-admit high LSATs. I just get the sense, for instance, that HLS and CLS are less likely to take a non-URM 169 (like myself) than SLS or even YLS.

Probably credited. But since most stratosphere LSATs are going to HLS/CLS, they may be more have more room to get a 169 they like.

To whom does the "they" immediately following the comma refer?

Dear Gahthelaw,

The Admissions Committee at Columbia University has congregated over the past few months and has reached a decision on your file. In fact, we have made decisions on all of the files to date. Unfortunately, due to the recession, we forgot to pay our phone bill so we cannot call those accepted. Therefore, we will not be having a Class of 2013. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into your application. I hope you have a great law school experience, it just wont be at this law school.

Sincereley,

Columbia Law Admissions

I just registered for this forum to tell you that I am in love with you for that post. I totally explained this premise of this board and what is going on in this thread to a coworker and then read your post out loud, but it did not really come out that funny.
