And give everyone the plague. It's like survival of the fittest... who can make it to Columbia after they've been accepted?!

I don't think that CLS updates the status checker past "application complete."
Also, just to clarify... by status checker, you mean email, right? Columbia doesn't have an online status checker, does it?

Agree that its not my favorite Jay but Empire State of Mind hit, for me, at a very opportune time.

Haha I haven't decided whether or not to re-take. Why?

Thanks for the link. I feel like an idiot for never knowing it existed!

Wouldn't call it an abomination. He hasn't been at his best most of the decade- Blueprint 3 was a lot better than Kingdom Come and especially American Gangster.

Jay-Z hasn't made an album worth listening to since the black album, and his last really good one was the blueprint way back in 2001.

that said, i can see why empire state of mind would be a great song for you ed admits. i'll either be playing that or "cry me a river" on repeat next week, depending on what i finally hear from cls...

Why didn't you? They could more easily swallow your GPA than Chicago can (larger class size). Also from what I've heard HYS and CC really haven't felt the bad economy nearly as much as the other schools. Those 5 schools seem to be another league from everyone else.

your anti NYU trolling is comical at this point. FYI they dominated clerkships and OCI this year

You need to go get laid. Besides I'm talking about overall. They don't quite do as well as CC when you look at things outside of NYC placement. If you're going to say they do, then you have to say that MBVP do as well. HTMFH

I just looked at my status checker (I'm RD, btw), and it now says that I don't have an LSAC report. Does that mean that they'll be asking for grades?

I think we established that's just a glitch in the system and until anyone hears otherwise we're ignoring it.

Globebuddy you just seem a bit uptight. I suggested that because if often relieves stress (well I like it and it usually does wonder for me). Besides you made a comment on something that you really don't know about.

The only reason you, and a lot of other people, even think that is because of US News. You haven't looked up the actual placement of the schools. On top of that even with the US News data you are ignoring the most important stat that they track (lawyer/judge assessment scores). NYU is really no different than say Boalt. It has very strong and admirable placement in its home market, and places well in every other market, but it doesn't outplace any of MBVP in regions outside of its own. That's the difference with HYS and CC, they outplace all the other schools in their home markets, and they outplace the other schools in all the other markets as well (with the possible exception of Boalt in Cali, but even there they are pretty much equal to Boalt).

Cool. Link?

Maybe the time spent racking up 2000 posts in your Jihad against NYU could be better used to help yourself get laid. Because it seems like you're projecting your issue on me. I'll let me gf know that I seem stressed, though.

This isn't the place to post that type of info but if you start another one or post in a thread related to that topic I will.

How do you know how many posts I have about anything? Dude get onto your gf now, she really isn't doing her job. If she keeps tripping just tell her you deserve better. You can probably find yourself a new chick at NYU, I heard that they have more gay guys than straight ones, less competition for you there.
