just mix LOTR and 28 days later together and that's what I am imagining.
Can we have 7 meals a day like hobbits?
sure. they will just be 7 meals of human flesh.
I'm ok with that

this, however, sounds great. i love to cook! plus, there will be nothing else to do in post apocalyptic nyc. i don't know if we can still get delivery.

My ideal life checklist:

7 meals a day. check
women cooking for me. check
40s. check
post-apocalypse. check

Just a word of advice from someone who pretends everything is LOTR: If a hooded man comes to you and tells you to sleep in his room because dark horsemen are coming to kill you in your sleep, don't do it.

alright, leaving the office (early, for once!) will report back if i see any hobbits or anything that would indicate that this city is not paradise.

No I mean I don't think I could make that happen for ANY reasonable amount of rent. I don't make anywhere near 45x what I am paying in rent now and my apartment is really, really cheap.
I wouldn't fret over it. You're not even close to the only person who doesn't make 45x their rent in NYC, and I don't think those people are living in hovels and feeding off of stray cats.
I feel like American Psycho is a pretty accurate representation of NYC.

So I found an awesome article on living in NYC. This couple shares the smallest apartment in the city (and it's in Morningside):

I think I'd take the cat-eating Gollum creatures over Christian Bale.

Happens to the best of us. I woke up in a bathtub missing a kidney, and that wasn't even the worst thing they took.

+1. The part about the way they dress themselves for work is fucking hilarious though. These people are insane.

They don't send our RD decisions until January according to my shoddy internet research. Is that right?

In the past, yes. It takes a long time for CLS to get mail out from their fortress

watch it again, but remember that Sauron = CLS Dean of Admissions. I think it really enriches the story.

Hopefully that means I'm Frodo and not Gollum in the story. I'd rather triumph in the end and sail away to paradise than burn to death in a volcano.

I'd settle for Samwise if Helm wants to be Frodo. Minus all the gayness. Actually, at this point, f*!& it. I'll do whatever it takes.

It's not really derailment. It's holding onto the last vestiges of sanity.

there's also not much to derail. It's night. no more decisions are coming today. None have come recently. All there is left to do is wait. Can you really derail waiting?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
