I haven't gone through the entire thread, so sorry if this has been asked before. Does anyone know if Columbia is still updating online status checkers as they e-mail/mail out decisions, or no?

Apparently the Office of Admissions just couldn't bear to let go of my file, as I now join the extremely exclusive, ultra-elite 'reserve' group. My sincerest apologies go out to all of the applicants who failed to attain this exalted status, all three of you. I have very little doubt that the news of my recent selection as deputy floor warden at my office will more than tilt my application into the acceptance pile, most likely with a Hamilton thrown in just to woo me away from Yale/Harvard/Florida Atlantic.

deferred in dec. just got the mail saying i got into "reserve group" and they will make a decision in late may.

sigh....this really puts me in a difficult situation. Should i start looking for housing near penn law? or should i keep waiting for columbia

anyone knows the chance of being given an offer from the "reserve group"? what the hell is that anyways?

Waitlist/reserve here too. Oh well. I'm also curious about Jacinda's question.

it's what they call their waitlist. i say wait until june to start looking for upenn housing to see if you make it to columbia's "second reserve" or actually get in, if CLS is your first choice. it doesn't seem like there is a high likelihood of getting in off the waitlist, though. good luck!!!

Does anybody know roughly how many people are usually placed in reserve and how many of those are usually admitted (based on LSN data)? I know it's probably a small number, and I'm sorry if this has been asked or answered before.
