Congrats! I'm upset about the fact that I wont be home until 9 tonight. Not that I think the mail would get to VA in 2 days, but one can hope.nixxers wrote:In

I'm upset that my NYU letter took at least 3 days, even though I can drive to NYC in an afternoon, but I will still start to be panicky about no CLS letter tonight.

By VA, I don't mean NOVA for what it's worth. And I'm never clear about whether mail gets moved on Sunday, just not delivered, or whether it doesn't get moved at all. Either way, I'll be disappointed with no letter today.babaghanouj wrote:it should...wackjickham wrote:Congrats! I'm upset about the fact that I wont be home until 9 tonight. i think not moved at all, because all US postal workers don't work. but i've also convinced myself of this as i wait, and wait, and wait, for letters.wackjickham wrote:By VA, I don't mean NOVA for what it's worth. Bahahha.
On an unrelated note, anyone else hoping their mail will get to Georgia today?

I was all excitedly waiting for my mail, and then suddenly realized that since I got a fall grade request last week, there's no way they have my transcript and already reviewed my app again yet...
Congrats to those in!

IN!!! Just got the e-mail with a scanned copy of the acceptance letter. I'm guessing that's because I'm based abroad.
Best of luck to all those still waiting!

I'm being relentlessly optimistic and hoping they reviewed us before asking for grades, we were already in an admit pile, and getting our grades via email from us was just to check and make sure we didn't totally mess up our most recent semester.

I think it could be classified as beige. But with a slight yellow-green tinge. The evelope isn't ugly, its the folder/packet thing that could have used a color change.englawyer wrote:i thought somewhere someone said its greenish/yellowish or something like that

considering it, but still leaning heavily hls. i live in nyc, have been here for a while, and while i love it, i think a change of scenery wouldn't be the worst idea.
i haven't heard back from stanford, and as of now am operating under the assumption that i'll get dinged. though, don't get me wrong - i absolutely would be ecstatic to have the option, even if the the stanford vs. hls vs hamilton mindfuck might drive me to an eleventh hour leap in the dark.
and fwiw, i didn't apply to yale. even though i think i want to go into academia, i have a visceral, punch-in-the-gut-like reaction to being in new haven, and couldn't fathom spending three years there... but also couldn't fathom turning it down (though i also am 100% convinced i wouldn't have gotten in), so once the jr2 came figured i should refrain from editing my 250 and call it a day.

i don't know how to classify it, but you would know it when you saw it from pretty far away. maybe that was the intent.julesm2200 wrote:I think it could be classified as beige.
