If both of those conditions hold true, and you've also received a rejection letter. Otherwise, nobody knows.
Oh the uncertainty

I hope they review all the pending apps before April 7, before they review the hold apps. I still have a glimmer of hope.

I wouldn't worry too much about you in relation to the hold apps. I was held with very silly numbers and no URM status to speak of, so you're possibly in even better shape than those who were held.

Any movement at all causes me an all-out panic attack.
That said, I'm Held from February. I wrote them a LOCI and got confirmation less than a week after getting my hold letter. I haven't gotten this email everybody's talking about today.
I'm compelled to read too far into this and assume that I have no shot.

There are many of us who were lead to the assumption that no e-mail = accepted. Pick the more positive route

I'm in the same boat as you, and I have long since come to that conclusion. I actually sent the admissions office an email yesterday looking for some type of an update. At this point, all I want is to expedite the rejection process so that I can cross them off my list.

I got the e-mail about the loci as well but need some advice ...
I already sent a loci in late january, 3 weeks before receiving my hold letter (I submitted in early september and wanted to remind them I was still alive). I didn't submit another loci because not much has changed since then, but now that I got today's e-mail, I'm really wondering if I should send something. do you guys think I should or are 2 loci in 3 months overkill?
thanks!

Another in the list of people who haven't received the LOCI email. Although I checked and the LOR symbol is finally ticked off from when I added it last week.
For those who mailed their LOCIs, did you get a confirmation email?

IMHO as long as your LOCI are well written, go for it. At worst, you will seem eager to attend! If it had only been a few weeks since your last LOCI, that would be a different story.

I sent an unsolicited LOCI a couple weeks ago, and got a quick response. No email now though.

Have all of you who have received these letters been Hold people? Just want to verify that no Reserve people have received a request for a LOCI.

Well the e-mail also said they'd make every effort to get back to us by the date on our hold letters, which (the hold letter thing aside) wouldn't make sense to say to Reserve people, since that date was in April.

You mean the date for your letters, right? I thought the Reserve applicants are re-reviewed in late May. No?

And NYU. I think they're just showing due respect for the greatest schools in the greatest city in the world.

I thought NYU was People's College of Law. Hogwartz also makes much more sense for Corn-l. I give them an A for effort, but a C for implementation.
I was really confused though when I saw that I had a new post in U PenState Law though

Nope, that's the Chicago-area splitter's haven.

That seems like a better one then People's College. When I think People's College, I think Communism, and when I think Communism.....
