Aren't Northwestern and Illinois the two most represented UG schools after Chicago?prefontaine wrote:there are a fair amount of big 10 schools in the glass menagerie booklet they sent out (Michigan/ Illinois & Wisconsin were the most common schools if I remember right). The Perry's also have big 10 alum among their family (Illinois and Wisconsin).MF248 wrote:Before I got sucked into the black hole that is TLS I remember hearing that UChicago actually likes Big10 schools. I think I'm going to hold off on the de facto ED LOCI until they waitlist me.

I don't know, I mean there are plenty of big 10 schools. But i saw a shit ton of Dartmouth, Harvard, Swarthmore, Michigan and Berkeley students. Maybe it is because those big names stole my attention, but I didn't see many Northwestern matriculates. But I do remember a few Illinois grads

I finally went UR today.
Applied after December LSAT, went complete 2/15.
I'm on hold at Columbia -- I bet I get a deicsion from both around the same time, mid April-ish.

Anyone else get an email from UChicago yesterday evening that they were "accidentally" waitlisted last week and are getting an extension until 3/25 to apply for a merit scholarship?

Whaaa?! Well, at least it makes a little sense now. Are you going to apply for the scholarship?GeePee wrote:Anyone else get an email from UChicago yesterday evening that they were "accidentally" waitlisted last week and are getting an extension until 3/25 to apply for a merit scholarship?

What? How strange. What do they mean by "apply" for a scholarship? Everyone is automatically considered, unless they're inviting you to apply for one of those essay ones?GeePee wrote:Anyone else get an email from UChicago yesterday evening that they were "accidentally" waitlisted last week and are getting an extension until 3/25 to apply for a merit scholarship?

So I finally went under review last Monday (3/15) after applying on 12/30. Then status checker updated to UR 3/22 today. Any idea what that means? Should I (finally) be expecting my rejection email?

+1. Same for me. It doesn't mean you will be getting rejected. It just means they are finally taking a look.jgolimow wrote:So I finally went under review last Monday (3/15) after applying on 12/30. Submitted late January, got the "application complete" e-mail today (though status checker says complete 3/18). Given their review schedule, I assume I can expect a decision sometime mid-September?

I'm also in the UR 3/15 3/22 boat. Does anyone know if this is a good/bad/neutral sign?

I've given up. WL'ed after applying ED. Other T14 scholarship deadlines preclude me from waiting until May/June before hearing definitively.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
