I seriously don't get why in every thread people go "Oh man I got a call I have no idea what they're going to say", when every single time it's an acceptance.

All calls from Chicago are admits. They don't tell you if they leave a voicemail, but you're in. All waitlists and rejections are done by email only.

If that's true, I think I just got accepted. I missed a call from them while on campus because the student union was so loud... or I was caught up in ordering a meal from Carl's Jr. The message just said that they had a "status update" and I would get an email soon. I'm hoping this is a "you're in" update and not a "can you explain such and such in your application? The committee would like to know..." update.

I have personal ties to Chicago, and that's where I want to practice law eventually, so there's that to consider. Both the Darrow and Yale are HUGELY tempting, but I also have school-aged kids, and moving would be hard on them. They've gone through some major, and I do mean major, losses in the past couple years. So I have to weigh that in too, and be fair to them. Maybe with these other offers, though, I can leverage some financial aid--anyone know how receptive Chicago is to that?
