I imagine these recent updates are a mixed bag of decisions, because with a 171 (retake) and a 3.75 from a poorly ranked UG I don't think I stand a chance.

i agree. i really think they're trying their hardest to do things in rough order, which makes it more time consuming. if all they were going to do was sort by "175+ / 3.8+" and send all those people acceptances after a cursory glance at the app package, regardless of their submit date, they wouldn't be doing it this late.

I speculate that they will be making calls tomorrow.

My analysis is that based on recent updates on the status checkers that these will be a lot of calls to some admitted people. The update was likely our files being added to the committee review.

I am in panic now, because one of these calls will not being going to my rejected self.

I would think that depends heavily on how big of a "wave" this is and when the admits went complete/UR relative to you. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

My UR 12/29 updated to UR 1/12, so if there's a wave of acceptances for UR 1/12 people and I'm not a part of it, I'll definitely be worried.
