There were 55 accepts on 2-5 and only 7 on 3-5?

I know its only been a few hours, but this seems like very few offers...

I, too, am surprised by the difference between 2/5 and 3/5. On the other hand, keep in mind that a lot of the applicants who are likely to be accepted by U of C are traveling to or from admitted students days today (at least one of CLS, NYU, and UVA has something going on from March 3 through March 6). There were literally hundreds of applicants at these events, and many I talked to at CLS were still waiting to hear from Chicago. A lot of these applicants are probably offline right now for one reason or another.

The admitted students day effect might not explain all of the 2/5 versus 3/5 discrepancy, but it could be a big part of it.

Just checking in from the road - I actually missed the phone call while I was on a tour at another law school. I'll have to rely on you guys to fill me in on the contents of the admittance package, since I won't be able to pick up mine for at least 10 days.

Nah, I don't think this holds true this time. Unlikely at least. The number of admits was very small, except if Dignan is right and no one was online today, relative to past days.

In your case, I am reasonably sure that it would be a WL instead of a rejection.

I was also UR 3 different times, and I didn't get a decision today either. I was assuming that this meant I would receive a waitlist email on Monday. But the fact that you didn't get a decision today makes me wonder if a few of us might still have a shot at getting accepted.

in today as well! LSAT pretty low, GPA high, and now i'm just waiting to hear from one last school to make this cycle officially over (Berkeley). I'm almost sad about it *sniff*

Got my acceptance email earlier this week, only UR since end of February. It was exciting but a little anticlimactic considering I was in New York to visit CLS at the time.

If they do send waitlist or rejection emails, it is (I think) always at the very end of the workday....so around 5 central time.

It varies. Generally, anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

No I am not but I believe the first rounders would told they would hear the results of their mysterious essay writing sometime this week.

well if I get in with a scholarship, I'll be sure to let you know/how much it is. but they are cutting it close to make an April 8th ASW feasible so I'd really, really, really really like to hear soon.

I never got a call, just an email from Dean Perry. I'm not abroad. I wonder what that means...

Has anyone else gotten in without a call?
