I sure hope you mean a .7 waist-to-hip ratio. Either that or I'd better start eating a lot more.

(see, Harvard?? I'm good at math, too! You should soooo let me in!)

hahaha, I really hope not a .7 HTW ratio, that would be the most awkward apple shape imaginable

hahahaha.

HLS, not only is soonergirl a prodigious mathematician, she also has what were previously thought to be impossible body measurements. If that's not a unique applicant, I don't know what is.

Spent the last 5 min looking on the interwebs for a picture which would sum up the true horror of those measurements but failed.

*hangs head in shame*

No, it was pretty boring before when most of us (with the exception of you and invisiblesun) were sitting around talking about our lack of JR1s. It's gotten a lot better with the introduction of cute guys to the mix.

hmm. Somehow I'm thinking that anybody with the potential to offer you a spot at one of the most elite institutions in the world has a crush-worthy voice.

What's weird for me is that the admissions deans at the top two schools are actually *younger* than me. (Don't let that stop you though, JR. Just call me Mrs. Robinson!)

but JR is cute (and tall too, according to ConMan), so him actually having a crush-worthy voice fits in well with that picture.

edit: How funny would it be if he referenced this part of the thread in a blog post a la Asha?

Well, that's a relief!

Quick q then. I know a random genius guy taught me a couple of classes at UG (while doing his masters) and is now at YLS (and insanely successful. v v cute as an aside so that's how it fits). Anyway, thinking - should I contact him before I start school? Like a professional contact type thing? Is this skeezy or shrewd? Our class only had 10 people in it so he should remember me and I am on my way to LS so there is some link.

LOL, he's so cute (and not married or it would have been on ATL) but that aside, as a professional netowrk kinda thing, is this pushy or sensible?

Agree 100% with this but it is kinda cute though.

Are you kidding? We can talk about whether he's hot but we can't talk about who he's hot for?

(My cycle's over, of course.)

I think sexual orientation takes it to the next level, where it doesn't need to go.

WHOA! DUDE! Fantasy crushes are one thing, sexual orientation is a bit more serious.

I don't want to be disrespectful to the guy cos I don't actually know him.

EDIT: This cannot end well clearly so I think you should drop it.

I dunno, I think sexual orientation takes it to the next level, where it doesn't need to go.

I think that's a double standard, but... fair enough.

Well, I'm a dude, and a gay one (hence the appraisal of JR's attractiveness).

I don't think he's gay, though my gaydar isn't infallible. Also, just a note, talking about someone's sexual orientation isn't disrespectful, though presupposing it is could be to some people (I don't really care).
