Congrats to everyone. Is anyone still "under review" from 10/28 (or earlier) without a JR1? Thoroughly surprised I haven't been rejected yet.

+1 to all of this.

+1 for me as well. My only difference is that my status has updated as UR a couple more times so that it now says 1/6 UR--whatever that means.

Submitted app: 12/1
Under Review: 12/20
JR1: 1/7
App. Complete: 1/7
JR2: 1/11!!!

Still somewhat in disbelief that I got in this afternoon! LSAT was below 25th percentile, but GPA was high and pretty interesting softs.

G/l everyone! Getting into law school is def not all about the numbers - hope some more JR2s start rolling in for ppl!

There seems to be more love for reverse splitters than regular splitters.

Can someone explain what that means to a noob like myself? I know that a splitter is where you have a high LSAT and low GPA or vice versa, but what is the whole reverse/regular splitter thing?

On TLS, traditional splitters are high LSAT/low GPA types. Reverse Splitters are the opposite. Harvard, so far, seems much more amenable to accepting 168-171 with a near-4.0 than anyone with <3.7, regardless of LSAT. Hence, CEO's post.

H took 16 self-identified URMs on LSN last cycle (2 are fake), and 14 the cycle before that. So far, only 3 have gotten in (1 is fake). Anyone wanna take a crack at explaining this discrepancy?

Last year they didn't start sending out waves of rejections until mid-March.

Aware that my question looked a little stupid, I compared the non-URM numbers as well.

2009-2010
Non URMs admitted: ~83
URMs admitted: 3

2008-2009
Non URMs admitted: ~149
URMs admitted: 16

URM cycles generally take longer, I believe. Many URMs might not find out until later about their decisions.

Hmmm I like the sound of that! Here's hoping it rings true for some other folks in that situation... ;)

+1, it seems that for HLS they wait until later for URM decisions, and don't have as quick a time-frame for urms unless they have near median numbers.

Rejection email received a couple days ago. Disappointing, but best of luck to everyone else applying.

It seems the holds and rejections are coming in order. Mid-late October applications are up next.

The next wave of rejections are coming. I can hear it. *feels nauseous* How badly I've stopped wanting email.

They have already begun, but will likely continue to do so throughout the week.

For anyone who get the held email, in the email it states "All correspondence to our office should include your LSDAS registration number and be signed by you". Does this mean that Harvard doesn't want anything via email, and all additional material (including LOCI, updated resume, etc.) should be sent via snail mail?

My understanding is that this is always the case for HLS whether on hold or not
