I wouldn't worry about it. I bet on some days he has a heavier load than others, so he needs to rush more. And maybe the shortest ones are actually the most presumptive admits -- no need to do anything more than verify that you can put a sentence together!lz06 wrote:For anyone feeling bad about their interview..... I sent mine in on 11/6 with all the LORs, and I'm still not 'under review'.....this status-checking is getting addictive haha. Is Harvard usually so late with matching files?
congrats to ppl with JR1s...good job for getting things over with now you can just sit and wait!

Re: Harvard 2010!
Expecting to be under review a week after submission is rather high expectations for submitting in the middle of the cycle. It would probably be best to lower them.barca wrote:I sent mine in on 11/6 with all the LORs, and I'm still not 'under review'.....this status-checking is getting addictive haha. My phone did that terrible echo-everything-I-say-back-into-my-ear thing for my entire JR1... which means I probably sounded twice as awkward as I would've otherwise. Lovely!

Seems like JR had you on speakerphone. That's usually when you get the echo-back... either that or hes borderline deaf and his earpiece is waaaay too loud.nutella wrote:My phone did that terrible echo-everything-I-say-back-into-my-ear thing for my entire JR1... which means I probably sounded twice as awkward as I would've otherwise. Re: Harvard 2010!
this happened to me partway through the call. I could tell he put me on speaker, was walking around his office (because his voice got further away) then came back and picked up the phone. It was awkward and I wanted to be like... what are you doing? But I resisted the urge.GeePee wrote:Seems like JR had you on speakerphone. PS: my phone call was only 6 minutes. I guess I should have said more about my activities but didn't want to go on a rant. Oh well.

haha that's a little amusing actually. he prob spends so much time on the phone he has to double task. I'm sure you did brilliantly anyways!cougit wrote:this happened to me partway through the call. had my JR1 interview today...I suppose it's possible that I shot myself in the foot, but I'm pretty sure I didn't put the gun in my mouth. Lasted for about 10 minutes.

With those stats, as long as you only shot yourself in the foot, you're probably fine.soullesswonder wrote:PM'ed youtomhobbes wrote:Congrats!
