Same here, stuck at that status since 11/9....I think they're just really swamped with PT applicants. That's the impression I got in my correspondence with them.danidancer wrote:I've been "ready for review" since 11/4.terpette wrote:my file is still "ready for review" (I only submitted a few days ago due to waiting foreverrrrrrrr for a LOR)
how long did it take for you to go from "ready for review" to "under review"?

Sorry to hear that, and yes, that makes me extremely nervous. When did you go complete?lawschoolapp1 wrote:Was a PT applicant and got put on "priority reserve" today. 172 3.61. I'm sure this will make some folks nervous haha. Don't know what went wrong i even wrote a crappy "why duke" essay.

There was an upper-limit for PT, but I am not sure what it was.
Sorry for your priority reserve status, but I assume it was YP. Try to show some more interest if you really are into Duke.

How appropriate is it to e-mail or call admissions to express interest? I'm now 6 days into my 10 day PT stretch, and Duke is one of my tip top choices. In the rush of applications I didn't write a Why Duke. Too late to submit one/call/e-mail?

I think that you are better off not sending one at this point, since a late submission makes you seem disorganized and apathetic.likeaspark wrote:How appropriate is it to e-mail or call admissions to express interest? I would atleast wait to see what the decision is before calling them or emailing them. Do you really think you would get priority reserved?managamy wrote:I think that you are better off not sending one at this point, since a late submission makes you seem disorganized and apathetic.likeaspark wrote:How appropriate is it to e-mail or call admissions to express interest? Well, lawschoolapp1 got PR with a 172 and a 3.61. My stats, at 171 and 3.74 LSDAS are comparable. Plus, I think I mentioned before, I have some potentially touchy circumstances. Soooooooo, yes, I think priority reserve is not out of the question, particularly if I fail to show specific interest in Duke.Jericwithers wrote:I would atleast wait to see what the decision is before calling them or emailing them. Re: In at Duke!
Sorry, I forgot I asked that earlier (trying to study finance and posting on TLS just results in failure at both). I still think it would be best to wait and see, as you might get in. I would be afraid of making them question the app or have to add to it and then only have 4 days to make a decision.likeaspark wrote:Well, lawschoolapp1 got PR with a 172 and a 3.61. Yeah the thing is with my numbers, I expected an invite. I do have a 162 from June so that might be killing the PT invite.

New Under review update from 11/16 to 12/10 as well, is that a good or bad sign?

I'm in a similar situation. Numbers significantly above their 75th in both LSAT and GPA, I would have thought I could be PT, but no invite. Seeing as they're already reviewing my file. Is it possible to ask at this point for PT consideration, or is it too late?boilercat wrote:Jericwithers wrote:I think some people said they got a 10 day turnaround like they were PT even though they wern't invited. From my own experience, even if your numbers are better than most PT applicants it will take much longer to get a decision than if you were PT. But, at this point I would just wait. It took about 4-5 weeks for me to hear back.hermione0901 wrote:I'm in a similar situation.
