It's Duke's Priority Reserve list, which is the group before the regular WL. Kind of like schools that have a ranked waitlist, ala GULC.

And how do you know if you are on the "priority reserve" waitlist as opposed to the regular waitlist? I gather they tell you in the initial e-mail... Anyone want to post what the PR waitlist e-mail says?

The email you received should state clearly whether it is the WL or PR list. Here is what my email said.

For those of you who've sent in your deposit, did you receive any notification from the school saying it had been received?

USPS tracker said it arrived Friday morning. Received e-mail confirmation this morning.

It says on their website that the summer and fall classes are currently full. I'd imagine that maybe a few people will give up their seats if they got off the wait-list elsewhere, but it probably won't be too many, and it probably won't take long for them to fill. I get the feeling they are overenrolled, honestly, as their class is filled right after the deposit deadline. Even if they take 5-10 people off, they're unlikely to post it in this forum (or be a member of this forum, for that matter). You will probably continue hearing crickets all summer long.

My heart is completely broken. I really wanted Duke, and I took the waitlist as a good sign. I'll stay on on the off-chance that they'll come through for me, but it's probably not looking good for my chances. I might think transfer, but I wouldn't get any money...It would be something I'd have to weigh the options for and see if I'm willing to take the financial hit.

There was only one seat deposit and it was due April 30th for fall starters.

This is the latest:

"Our deadline for tuition deposits for the fall term has passed and the class is currently full. We will continue to monitor the class closely; seats may become available at any time before the mandatory orientation program starts on August 16. (updated May 27)"

Of course, things can change, but as of now, no one's getting in off any sort of list.

Released from their waitlist as of this morning. Anyone else?

I had already decided I was only switching from Cornell if Chicago came through, so I 'm not too disappointed.

Email. And I sent a LOCI way back when. But not for months.

I'm still on the smaller waitlist. But they've put me in a bad position...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
