Don't they usually do that in the afternoon? (UR 1/25 here...)

Status Checker changed yesterday from 10/19 - 1/28

I really want Duke. Please say this isn't a rejection batch.

Since my status hasn't updated, that might be true.

I've been "file ready for review" since 12/7. Is this normal?

Every time this thread bumps, I think someone has a decision reached... maybe the date changes just indicate they are reconsidering all of us? How late do the decision usually start going out? I thought it would have happened by 3pm.

I was RFR since 12/4 and went UR on 1/26. The UR date follows the RFR date trend, so you should be hearing soon.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night. At this point, you won't know until you know, just like everyone else. Best of luck.

Boy, I wish I'd received one of those PT invites. I have Duke numbers but waiting is killing me.

+1. Over both medians and applied right before they sent out a batch of PT invites for December takers. Now I'm sitting at RFR for over three weeks with what I think are auto-admit numbers.

I went from “Additional Information Required” to UR on 1/28. I received an oral warning my freshman year of college, and Duke requires a letter from the Dean of Student’s Office explaining the incident. I requested the letter from my school when I applied to Duke, but the Dean of Students Office took longer getting out the letter than they initially told me and I’m PT so Duke got to my application before the letter got there. Anyway, the letter was finally faxed to Duke on Tuesday afternoon, and Thursday I got an email saying that they had received the letter and it had been added to my file that day and then told me I was on track to receive a decision within ten days.

I’m 171, 3.7 and would absolutely kill to go to Duke, but I’m terrified that letter delay reflected poorly on me/made me look disorganized. Sooo should I freak out and think I’m in the probable waitlist batch or is there a chance that my 1/28 status update is a coincidence?

It seems reasonable that they switched you to UR the day after they completed your application. Most PTers don't get a decision until the 10th day, so I doubt they would've made a decision a day after receiving your materials. They know that sometimes administrative delays are not the student's fault, so I wouldn't think it would reflect poorly on you. Don't sweat it.

I'm in the same boat regarding a letter from my undergrad. My app has been under review since 20 Jan at Duke (PT) and I got an email today saying they're waiting on that letter; it's gonna be a long weekend of waiting!

Had been RFR since early January, went "File under review" today 29/1. Anyone else? I see a lot of 28/1s. Ack!

Are you European?

Edit: I only ask because I rarely see people place the date before the month unless they were schooled in an European country.

I applied to JD/MS and my status check date just changed too, so I am definitely hoping this is the case!

D'oh- I live overseas.

Anyone? I'm looking back through the thread, but how long from UR to decision?

I was asked to go interview. I went, loved it out there, and got accepted the day after my interview. Seems like a fun school.
