I just sent it to the admission office and made sure to note it was regarding the WL.

Just got my waitlist letter yesterday, along with an email from Georgia telling me I was on the waitlist there as well. I actually found this forum while trying to find my chances of getting on off the waitlist. I'm probably going to accept a spot on the list just because it doesn't really cost me anything to.

My stats: 163 LSAT, 3.86 GPA

Looks like there are more yellow dots now on LSN than green ones. *sigh*

those yellow dots are smothering the 164 line. it is ridiculous how law schools can place so much weight on one LSAT point

And it's official..... WL 164/3.88 ... three of those B's came in one semester I was having outside trouble.

You're right about the 164's.... I keep thinking back to the last question of the last section (RC) where I finished question 26 and threw down B for 27 even though my "guess" letter was C. Turned out the answer was C. If that kept me out Image

Edit to say: I'm not sure why I'm bothered in the slightest... I already decided against going there back in February.

when do you guys think W&M made most of these WL and rejection decisions? i don't see the point to sitting on a decision for months if it is only going to be a WL or rejection

I directed it to the "Admissions Committee." I contacted the office this morning about how I should address the letter and they said that as long as it was sent to the admission office (also your name/perm address from app), it would "make its way" to your file. I hope that wasn't their way of saying, good luck but we'll lose that letter on purpose...

Hmm. Well, I must say I'm disappointed. I'm the sole yellow dot in a field of green (170/3.3/science graduate degree), even with a phd. I don't think it's my app since I've been admitted to higher ranked and similarly ranked schools with scholarships even. I guess they could sense I wasn't gung ho on them anyway, so they probably made the right choice. Withdrawing now so that somebody more worthy gets my WL spot... Good luck all!

Woohoo count me in as a member of this group! So far the WL from W&M is the ONLY letter I've gotten back. When I first got it I was elated that it wasn't a rejection, seriously, you would have thought I was accepted. After awhile it started to sink in though. Oh well, I'm hoping for the best. Has anyone heard of anything that works in getting your name off the WL? Phone calls? Letters? Anything? Good luck!

I guess I am on the wait list now also!

Actually really excited about it, certainly thought I would be rejected by now considering how late it is in the cycle.

best of luck you all.

Oh, Also, thanks to everyone that is planning to withdrawn, or already has. That is very considerate to remove yourself if you already know you would not consider the school as an option or if you want to be else where. It is much appreciated!!

Got my letter. I can't complain about anything that is not an outright rejection. Anyone have tips on the timing of a LOCI? Do I send it immediately or after they notify us of the status in June?
