I just withdrew. Hopefully others like me will help free up spots for the waitlist! And best of luck : ) I have a friend who got in off the waitlist last summer, is now a 1L at W&M, and loves it. So there's definitely hope!

I guess they felt like waitlisting me one year just wasn't enough to express how very much they....are apathetic about me. Lol.

Hmmmmm, well this is disappointing... waitlist dated March 20th.

Good luck everyone trying to get off the waitlist!

Got waitlisted today as well... 173/3.3 but very late applicant. What's the word? Anyone know what the odds are?

Is it correct to assume that all the offers have already been sent out?

W&M historically has a HUUUUUGE waitlist, but your numbers are great, so you probably have a better chance than a lot of us. (She said sadly...)

Is it that hard to get off the waitlist at W&M? Looking at LSN for last cycle it appears people got off who didn't have outstanding numbers.

I'm not sure why those who got off the list did so - I know that the list was really large, and they don't cut it down after a month or so like some schools do. I did everything I could think of last year, including a LOCI, phone call, updated transcript (with 20 credits worth of rockin' grades) and held on until the very end in August, but to no avail. Now, of course it's possible that I just didn't have what they were looking for, but the percentage offered admission vs. the percentage on the waitlist still seems....disheartening.

On the waitlist - 174/2.72. So now I'm 0-0-3 (the three being preferred at Georgetown, GW, and W&M).

3.59/164

Haven't heard anything yet, looks like it's waitlist or rejection for me. There's something a little coarse in the way that some of these schools handle admissions, isn't there? I mean, suppose one of the schools that I've yet to hear from admits me in the next few days; I'll have less than two weeks to decide. What If I want to visit the campus? I'm not sure that this would be feasible on such short notice. I'm sure I'll change my tune if accepted, but at the moment I'm feeling a bit worn down from all the apprehension and waiting.

anyone else think that the language in the WL letter makes it seem like they want you to withdraw? doesn't sound very encouraging.

I haven't received anything from W&M - what does it say?

Yeah, it's a pretty depressing letter overall; I remember thinking that last year. Still, I like that it's full of info and even has a link to more info - they obviously anticipated questions, which is nice.
