Just got the waitlisted too. It's weird because I went decision three days ago and was not expecting the e-mail to take so long.

Anyone have any idea how realistic getting off the waitlist is??

I particularly enjoy that the email I got goes out of its way to explain that the waitlist is unranked, but they don't tell us about the whole other priority list.

I concur. Please, everybody, you who KNOW you won't go there or are so disgusted with Duke, PLEASE, please withdraw. Duke is my #1, and even though this crap has been crazy, I still want that school more than anything.

Honestly, I was pretty pumped to get WLed since my LSAT is below their 25.

Waitlist. 3.59, 170.

I'll be withdrawing, although I would like to get accepted off the waitlist and hurt their pretty little yield. (Really I'm not bitter, I just don't like what I've been seeing from Duke in this whole process.)

well, according to their website, for the C/O 2011, your LSAT is right at their 25th.

Some friends of mine always complain that girls love the guys that treat them the worst... maybe the same is true of law school applicants and law schools?

Just got the WL e-mail. I am pissed off. They jerk me around for almost for months and that's what they give me.

Nuts to them. Withdrawing.

Duke must not know there are boards like this where people who are both applying to the same law schools COMMUNICATE.
Come on Duke, didn't the Enron/Michael Richards/Chris Brown scandals teach you that you can't avoid transparency or cover things up in this age? :)

Durham? I've heard mixed reviews but the general consensus is that it kinda sucks. Anyone care to comment?

I can't believe I got waitlisted with my numbers. With my low GPA I figured a rejection.

Yes. Durham sucks. For undergrad I think it's fine and for grad school it pretty much blows, Chapel Hill/Raleigh are much more fun. You can get season tickets for bball as a grad student though, if that floats your boat.
