Submitted app 2/4, complete email 2/6, letter dated 2/12... MAN, that's fast!

Congrats! Where are u located? I went complete 2/2 still haven't heard anything (3.87/162)

I'm in Alameda, CA, so right down the road. :)

Yeah I am in Dublin and I got the letter today as well. I didn't realize the tuition had gone up to 32k for next year...I thought it was still 28k or something.

The letter says that 75% of the class will get grants ranging from $6,600 to $9,600. I am hoping for one of those. I am still super excited..Hastings has been among my top choices all along.

Has anyone who's been accepted gotten any scholarship info besides the basic Financial Aid info?

I think the story here is that if you really want to go, you need to get in touch with them and tell them that (unless you're waiting on Berkeley or something). If you look at last year's cycle, they also left a bunch of people with higher numbers hanging (if they didn't withdraw beforehand).

This is true. The higher number people last year were left hanging for a long time, and several got waitlisted. I think that I contacted them in March because I hadn't heard anything, and I had applied in mid-November.

Just got home to open the awaiting envelope. I'm in!

3 months later, I'm in. They really do take forever. But still not nearly as long as Davis.

It just seems like they don't make decisions in order of when the apps are sent in. At all. I've been complete for almost 3.5 months now with no decision!

Any more LEOP acceptances trickling in? Waiting is completely devoid of fun!

I didn't apply for LEOP and I don't know much about it, but I was looking at the Hastings site today and it looks like there is a good amount of academic support for LEOP students. Do you know if any of those services are open to non-LEOPs as well?

I emailed them about that, and they said that there is no web access and that a decision will come by mail

I hope so, although I think there should be more support for students across the board! I was able to visit in January, and while there were no classes in session, my general impression was of a caring faculty and staff, right down to the security guard who volunteered to show me around.

In today via mail--small envelope. Feels good. I was a bit down after Saturday rejections from UW and Indy Bloomington.

That's a tough one. It is definitely high on my list--competing against place like Colorado, Utah, and a sizable scholarship at Lewis and Clark. I would love to go to SF and so would my wife. It's just a matter of the debt. I'm beginning to wish I had just applied to a couple of places. I'm so confused.

mrdal, i also have the sizable scholarship from l&c that made this decision a thinker. Not to mention the lower cost of living in portland. not to mention all my family being in seattle. but i've pretty much decided that the debt with hastings is going to be worth it considering hastings' rep compared to l&c. just my two cents.

Are you in LEOP? And there's a scholly? This is news to me, although it would be wonderful news.

In today! 162/3.5 non-resident, small envelope via snail mail. I've been hearing bad things about quality of life/cutthroat competition though, can anyone verify this? I'm also in at Wisconsin and it seems like a much better place (relatively) to spend 3 years.

Yea I meant the law school experience, obviously comparing the cities themselves is completely objective. I've actually lived in both places and I don't think it's that rediculous to compare them, especially if you can handle the weather.
