Re: University of Oregon Law
What does this email say? I was accepted (by postal mail) about a month ago. I'm wondering if there's new info I'm missing out on.
Then again, I've RSVPd for admitted students day and they have my FAFSA, so I'm not sure they have any need to contact me.

The email is from a current Oregon student and basically saids that she will be calling me to discuss the school. I am looking forward to the phone call because I want to get all the info I can.kswiss wrote:What does this email say? I was accepted (by postal mail) about a month ago. Re: University of Oregon Law
Just got my acceptance packet today with a $5000 renewable scholarship!! I had already put aside some time to visit Oregon after I went to Seattle's open house, so I'm glad to know my visit isn't pointless.

I just got my financial aid packet over the weekend and started hyperventilating. Even with scholarship, thats a shload of debt.
See you guys at ASD, I'm gonna be selling everything I own until then.

Ouch. It's not a huge jump but it does make a difference. I am still excited - I just got my letter today with a 3 year renewable scholarship yay! I am hopeing to go to the open house on April 10th for the day (fly up from SF).kswiss wrote:approx 30,500 out of state.

Yeah, my scholly+finaid package basically evened it out to paying instate sticker. Hopefully I can come up with a good portion of the first year tuition in the next several months, and hope for the best for the last 2. (all this assumes I actually go to Oregon. Still waiting on several other schools).christine2013 wrote:Ouch. It's not a huge jump but it does make a difference. The part that sucks is that they say it is very "difficult" for students to obtain residency - unlike some other schools who are more willing to give it out - UNLV for instance. --LinkRemoved--. I am going to ask them about this when I visit the school.kswiss wrote:Yeah, my scholly+finaid package basically evened it out to paying instate sticker. Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Oregon is my only hope.
I was just hoping my only hope wasn't going to bankrupt me.

I wonder why L&C is lower. I think it has a larger class size, and his been around for a long time.

Withdrew yesterday. Know it doesn't necessarily open up a spot on the waitlist but putting the little scholarship money they offered me back on the table, hope it helps somebody out. Can't believe with an EFC of 0 they only offered me $900.00 bucks in aid, boo.

Sorry to hear that. I would've thought that they'd love you! Schools have been making crazy moves this year!! Did you find out by snailmail?martin024 wrote:Damn, rejected today outright...164, 3.0.

Yup. I saw that small envelope and was quite surprised. I'm half-latino too, very PI-focused. Oh, well, I had a funny feeling I was going to end up at Boulder anyway. Good luck to everyone.cLams wrote:Sorry to hear that. I would've thought that they'd love you! Schools have been making crazy moves this year!! Did you find out by snailmail?

Re: University of Oregon Law
Got my packet in the mail today with 4k renewable. I expected this, but I'm still a little disappointed. I have always wanted to live in Oregon and sort of expected (in the very beginning of the cycle) to end up at Oregon or L&C. Ironically, my two sentimental favorites offered me basically nothing in scholarship awards. Oh well, I'm thankful for the great offers that I have, and I hope that one of you gets my spot. Good luck to those still waiting!

I email the admissions office this morning and they replied a decision was mailed on Monday.
What do the acceptance and rejection envelopes look like?
