OMG, I had not heard this! That is hilaaaaaaaarious. Hehe, you just made me chuckle aloud. Congrats.

Speaking of, I see that 'nuclear' now is officially in the dictionary as having the alternate pronunciation "nyoo-kyuh-ler". The best part? At least on dictionary.com, they cite this second pronunciation as developing because of metathesis, which means (after I looked it up myself!) "the transposition of letters, syllables, or sounds in a word".

So, in essence, in my mind, at least - because enough people said it wrong, we ultimately made it an official pronunciation. Crazy cakes.

I would imagine that switching to a rival school would be somewhat difficult....

I think I've told you this before, but my boyfriend is an OSU fan that has survived in Eugene for quite awhile. That being said: for some reason, it is very difficult to get OSU football games on TV in Eugene. Maybe that will change.

For those of us that end up attending (fingers crossed), the Civil War is on a Thursday this year. Worst. decision. ever.

that would be way cool but I don't think I will hear anything till mid march... Oregon seems to be pretty slow with their decisions...

I suppose it depends on when you went complete. I went complete in early November, so I'm hoping to find out by March 1. I'd like to be able to get out there for a visit, should I get in, before I have to decide on my first deposit.

Congrats! You are going to Colorado though right?

You must have gotten your apps in pretty early because you always seem to be the first person on here to hear back from schools :)

Thanks:) Yea, I made a point to get my apps in no later than the middle-end of October which has allowed me to find out sooner:) And in some cases seem to have greatly improved my chances (CU at least based on LSN info). I also got a small scholarship from UofO but that won't be enough to sway me from CU. :D

My roommate says there is a large envelope from the UO at my house. I won't get to open it until tomorrow. They don't send rejections in large envelopes right?

Icarter and I both live in Eugene, so that might explain why we're hearing before a lot of other people.

Indeed. I went complete in early November, but I'm on the other side of the country. I just hope to hear before March 1.

I got in today too! With a small scholarship as well. I was not expecting to hear so early... I think I went complete early December. Congrats to everyone!

My wife asked me how she could tell what the answer was from the envelope and I told her "It only takes one sheet of paper to say 'No, thanks'." Congratulations, I'll bet you're in.
