Still no change on mine (Complete date 1/16 & In Review 2/24) but I can't help wondering if they are just going through an alphabetical stack and they'll get to me before the day is over. (I'm at the very tail of the alphabet.)

Oh...getting nothing done at work today, just refresh...refresh...refresh...

Yikes. Current status changed from In Review 1/15 to In Review 3/14.

Could they hold me in the "maybe" pile through April?

Their seat deposit deadline isn't until June 1st, so I imagine some people could be in the maybe pile for quite a while. I would think that at some point they would send out official waitlists though.

Okay...so maybe there is nothing alphabetical here...just grasping at straws.

Why can't I just get my ding so I proceed making plans for my real life?

I propose that everyone share their numbers, their status checker info, residency, and the first letter of their last name so that we can have even more anxious fun speculating.

For moi:

161/3.89

"Decision" 3-13-09

Out-of-state

Strong Arm Robbery - Seattle Campus

This message to members of the University community is being sent in the interest of public safety and in compliance with federal law requiring timely warning notification of crimes committed on or near campus.

UW Police Arrest Strong arm Robbery Suspect on Seattle Campus

On March 12th at approximately 5:49 p.m, UW police officers responded to a 911 report of a robbery involving a lone victim and one suspect. Neither the victim nor the suspect, it was later determined, have any affiliation with the UW, not students, faculty, or staff. The victim, who apparently was known by the suspect, was confronted on the outside steps of the Law Library at William H. Gates Hall. The suspect reportedly brandished a knife and demanded money from the victim, though no knife was found. After robbing the victim, the suspect fled in a southerly direction and was confronted by UWPD officers and arrested. No injuries were sustained by the victim. The suspect was subsequently booked into King County jail.

This incident is being investigated by the University of Washington Police Department under incident number 09-000701. If you have any additional information about this crime, please call the University of Washington Police Department at 206-543-9331.

Prevention tips for incidents such as this:
* Avoid confrontations whenever possible.
* Remove yourself from potentially dangerous situations as soon as possible.
* Call 911 when you believe a confrontation is escalating.
* Walk with friends if possible.
* Call Husky NightWalk: 206-685-WALK (9255) for a security guard escort to various locations on campus and within a one-mile radius off campus. The hours of operation for these uniformed guards are 6:00pm-2:00am, 7 days week.

Contact the University of Washington Police Crime Prevention Unit at 206-543-9338 for additional crime prevention information.
The law school doesn't seem like the ideal place to rob someone. Anyway, I'll keep my eye out next time I'm there.

seattle is a little easier than a lot of metro areas with respect to getting a concealed weapons permit if that helps any.

I know that - it's just that in my time at the UW, I think all of the crimes took place in either the Greek system, or in the south campus where there's few people around. Except for the indecent exposure instances - I get an e-mail about those every quarter or so, and they happen anywhere.
