Just got in by phone call 5 minutes ago. Lewis and Clark isn't at the very top of my list, but they did offer me a pretty good scholarship and PNW location and environmental law are big pluses. I will definitely be going to the admitted students open house and checking the school out out.

^^Wow a phone call? Congrats!

This reminds me I need to change my voicemail to say something a little more professional.

It was surprising, as I haven't heard of anyone else getting a phone call. It was a little awkward because I am at work and was trying not to say anything that would give me away, since I have not told my boss that I will be leaving in a few months. Probably shouldn't have answered it, but I thought it could conceivably be a work related call. I'm sure I'll get caught checking this site one of these days, maybe I should just tell him soon.

Congrats! Portland is awesome. If anyone has questions about the city, I'd be happy to answer any.

Congrats, guys! I'm still not checking my status checker, so I may have a decision about which I do not know... but I've not heard anything via mail or phone call, so maybe I don't have one yet!

What does the status checker date say for decision processed for those who have received acceptances?

I think they wanted the non-obvious answer.

Although I've not checked, my guess is that the date varies.

Though my question was phrased badly, that is not what I was asking for.

I want to know the date the status checker changed to "decision processed" for those who have already received their acceptance. Mine says 1/12/2009. I was wondering if I might be expecting something soon as well, or if those who received acceptances have an earlier date.

Sorry! So I can't read . . . :( I'll work on it

I went to decision 1/15, still haven't received any actual mail yet.

I think it is because they know we have congregated here and they are just screwing with us.

Looking at LSN, almost everyone who has been accepted is over the medians. There are a couple of people who don't meet the GPA median, but whose LSAT scores are killer (i.e. 2.52 UGPA and 174 LSAT). Six out of the nine accepted have LSATs above the 75th percentile, and the mean index is 3.26, with a median of 3.2. 5/9 are from Oregon or Washington, with 1 from California. There are also people on here who have high stats and aren't listed on LSN. My guess is that L&C is accepting the strongest candidates first so they can see who will withdraw, and then they'll send out either acceptances or rejections for the rest of us. Let's hope for the former!

I think that this is a good assessment. Also, I think that the location of those accepted is mostly due to L&C not sending out letters until just recently (meaning they have not come to others yet). At least I hope this is true, since someone in Idaho received their letter yesterday. I am in Utah, so if I was sent something it will come within a few days.

Definitely. I hope you hear soon! Good luck! I wonder what their cutoff is for phone calls v. letters--not enough people list their stats on here to really figure out a range.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
