In at University of Houston
Notified via e-mail. Online status check says "Decision rendered." Intrigued with UH because it is #2 in health law and #7 in IP, and I want to go into a field of law that is a hybrid of the two fields. I have a chemical and biomedical engineering background and I want to use my knowledge in the two fields to explore policy issues. Anyone know how UH compares to schools like UC Hastings and IU Bloomington for someone with my interests?

If your interested in health law, St. Louis University is #1. I know this doesn't answer your question but thought I would throw that in there. What are your numbers like out of curiosity? URM? Softs? Please PM me if you prefer.

Yep, I just got my email a minute ago. It was a backup school. 170/3.89 I will probably withdraw soon to give some people a chance. I am a huge fan of U of H and a few of my family friends went to law school there.
If you want to practice in Houston and you can't get into T14 or Texas, I would say that is the place to go.

Re: In at University of Houston
I got in. I applied in late October (164, 3.88). Mine status was "File under review" for a long time (early mid-November). I actually don't know what it says now. I think it says "decision rendered" or something.

Application submitted: late October.
File complete: November 6.
File in review: January 8.
I check my online status about 11 times a day due to the assurance that it will be updated in "real time" from the original e-mail. The suspense is killing me.

best of luck to everyone!
I've been "In Review" since December 2nd so the suspense has been killing me for close to 5 weeks now
(I applied PT so maybe they have different time frames for those decisions)

When did your ticker change from file complete to "File in Review"
You mind sharing stats?

Re: In at University of Houston
My file had been in Review since around 11/11, and it changed to decision rendered on 1/04 (I think). I got the same email that some others did last Sunday saying that I was admitted. Now, the status checker finally says that something was mailed.ubersooner wrote:katjust wrote:The status checker updated to decision letter mailed (under mailings) 1/13/2009
